Lovely atmosphere there and met a couple of newlywed Americans who enjoyed their meal. It was very busy as its reputation is excellent, I had a little wait for a table but managed to get in.More

Never in my life have I ever walked in and 40 mins later OUT, without being served in a restaurant. But, after being seated, given empty glasses, after 20 minutes or so, we grabbed our waiter and ordered wine. When we tried to give him...our order, he said no, not now. 20 minutes later, (that’s 40 mins of empty sitting) he passed by our table without looking at us, we finally had enough and left. Never have I been treated so badly at a restaurant. 2 tables had been seated after us and were eating and drinking. The waiter Looking at us several times but, with more of a blank malice stare. It was vey apparent to me that he did not like to deal with us because we were a AMERICAN’s. The place was predominantly locals. The word that comes to mind is Prejudice. We are tourists and have feelings, too. If you look at bad reviews first, like we do, then be happy you’ve read this. Stay clear from this anti-USA place. I’ve now read similar stories from others about Americans an Germans being treated/ ignored from this establishment. We ended up around the corner at Roma Sparita, the meal was incredible and thankfully saved our first night in Rome.More

We made a reservation at this restaurant per a recommendation from our hotel. We were seated at 9:20, the waiter came to us at 9:25, gave us empty glasses, and left. At around 9:35 we flagged him down and gave him our wine order. When...we asked him about our food order he rudely said ‘not now’. At 10:00 there was still no wine and the waiter walked by our table at least a half a dozen times looking at us, then looking away. Hard not to notice that 2 tables (that we saw) were seated after us and were already served their drinks and appetizers. These people were obviously locals. We felt a great animosity from this waiter and felt that it was due to the fact that we were Americans. We later read the reviews and see that other foreign patrons felt the same. We finally got up and left after 10:00 and to be fair, another waiter followed us out and apologized. A horrendous experience.More
Easily the worst experience we had in a 16 day trip to Italy. All foreigners are escorted to the basement, as stated in many reviews. The basement is cramped, mildewy and very hot with no adequate ventilation. The other Americans and Germans are all complaining...and the basement is understaffed. Our undercooked (read crunchy) pasta and poor quality clams (many dead unopened) was as tasteless as the sea bass appetizer. The most bizarre element was the wonder-bread toast points that were given to us alongside a paper bag of local bread. We still aren’t sure if this experience was normal fare or unique to the May 6th dining experience.More
This place was recommended to us by a local and the food is very nice (we had seafood). The service was friendly but slightly chaotic. Tourists are mostly dumped in the basement but it is quite a nice basement. We were told they didn't have...the wine we asked for and then the waiter proceeded to recommend it to the table next to us (a tough blow). A little slow, and when the bill took ages to come we were told to go upstairs and get it. We were then given a bill that barely resembled our bill ( a lot cheaper) but we were assured it was for us. Despite this, enjoyable/amusing experience and nice food.More
Best meal in Rome yet. Comfortable, cozy, warm, nicely lighted, and everything was delicious. The waiters are amazing, too. The burrata was sublime. The fish extraordinary. The pasta to die for. We got a cheap bottle of barbaresca and it was delicious too. It can...be a very friendly place too. We met a lovely couple who we met again for another dinner. Very popular place among Italians too. Just go!More

Le Mani in Pasta continues to be EXCELLENT! We visited years ago and were impressed with the simple yet delicious food. So we went back recently and we’re pleased to find everything was just as tasty. The service is also friendly and the vibe is...fun. It’s super popular so it’s best to make a booking in advance.More

Very welcoming and hard working staff. Staff is very engaging, friendly and funny. When leaving you’ll get greeted by the waiting staff and cooks alike, as if you’re family! The dishes were beyond delicious, perfectly cooked pasta with fresh seafood. We had some champagne that...was delicious and paired very well with the food. We picked the sea bass for two and it was probably one of the best dishes we’ve ever had when eating out! Overall this was hands down the best dining experience we had in Rome, and one we will never forget! From the engaging staff to the delicious food, it was an amazing time! 10/10 highly recommend! We will definitely come back here if we are ever in Rome again!More
Grazie! Sarà sempre un grande piacere avervi ai nostri tavoli !
The pasta was fine and the Tiramisu OK, but the sea-bass in salt crust was truly outstanding. The service was friendly and efficient and the prices reasonable. The window to the kitchen adds an attraction. A very nice evening.

Seriously fun and buzzy chaotic restaurant! Fish is their knockout speciality (lovely owners are from Sardinia) . Book ahead and even then be patient on your time but well worth the wait. We loved it…try anything raw!More

Good food but it’s not worth the wait for a table. We had a reservation and we thought to drop by before to see if they would have a table earlier. We were told by a waiter we would be the next ones as soon...as a table would be available. That did not happen. Local couples and families got a table first before us. The manager/waiter kept making jokes that we would get one table in a couple of minutes but that turn out to be longer than 30 min. If it wouldn’t have been for my partner, I would have left. The service didn’t improve once we were seated. There were waiting times between courses of 20-30 min. We entered the restaurant at the same time as a local couple and they were having coffee and dessert while we were waiting still for our 2nd course. There are other restaurants in Rome with food as good as this and better service. Never again.More
I am Galician and I confirm the lobster pasta is absolutely amazing (everything else we saw looked delicious). Fausto is the best waitress we have had ever. The location is perfect, surrounded by bars and this was ultimately the cherry on top of our trip...to Roma. We actually came to this restaurant on our 1st visit (3 years ago) and we are so happy we repeated. Grande Fausto, sei un mito! Carmen & Antonio.More
