Located in a sidestreet. Family run. Friendly service, good, homemade food. Popular with locals. Especially on Friday for spaghetti vongole. Good selection of wines.

It is not the first time I have been here and it will definitely not be my last :) This is a very nice and simple place to have lunch or eat dinner. It looks like a family business restaurant, nothing fancy in the menu but some very delicious pasta. The portions were pretty huge by my standards and even... More

We dined at Il Simeto, which was quite close to our hotel. Great Italian fare and excellent waiters. The ravioli was first class, and followed by gelato finished off the evening. Worth a visit

The place is a traditional Italian restaurant. Could also say not touristic. So I recommend it for taking a small taste of how it feels to be in an original place. Specialty of the place is definitely the pasta bit also serves other plates

We had our first meal at Il Simeto as it was just around the corner from our hotel. We tried the pasta with asparagus, and a pasta with meat sauce. Both dishes were very good. One server seated us, then passed us off to another server who spoke a little English. Consequently, the service was a little slow, and other... More

A friendly family owned neighborhood restaurant with fantastic pasta. We always brought our guests and we were never disappointed with the service or the food. When we think of our years spent in the city, we think of the Simeto and smile.

Some of the best pasta we had in Rome. Off the beaten path for tourists. Several locals dining tonight. Friendly service and great prices.
