The year was 1976 Easter week.... I was in Italy on a Senior class trip.... Of course....A trip to Alfredo's Restaurant was a must.... The ambience was warm and cozy and yes We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo ... and yes The Gold Fork and Spoon presented to Alfredo by Mary Pickford and a Douglas Fairbanks was brought to our table... A taste of Rome not to be missed as it's not everyday you can go to the birthplace of fettuccine (or eat it as I reckon it's incredibly calorific!!)! It's easy to find this restaurant on the via della Scrofa. And if you are in any doubt you are at the right place there is a big sign announcing it... More

In an area where restaurants are often tourist traps, this is an ok choice - but no more than that. Offers a selection of roman dishes.

Lovely restaurant with great quality of starters (burrata) and the traditional fettuccine alfredo. The wine is of great quality and priced logically. The service is quick and the waiters are welcoming

What is there to say about Alfredo? That's were you can taste (and must taste) the famous "fettucine alfredo", which is a simple sauce of butter and old parmigiano sevrer with homemade thin pasta. The rest of the menu is also composed of delicious meals. They offer an immense selection of wine from all over the country. It is recommended... More

My girlfriend and I ate at Alfredo's twice during our recent stay in Rome. The food was great. The artichokes a la Romana are delicious and of course the Fettuccine Alfredo simply superb!

Went here on a recommendation and we were quite disappointed. We felt the restaurant was very average with nothing particularly good or bad. Service was good, atmosphere lacked greatly and the food was just basic and nothing special. The pasta dish we had wasn't homemade and a bit of a let down really. There are so much better places to... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel I stayed in. It was so good I dined there the 2 nights I was in Rome. Roberto served me on both nights. He recommends the house first course of pasta and Parmesan cheese to me. It was nice to watch him mix the sauce, cheese and pasta by the table. Very big,... More

Had a very nice evening meal however ate too much. Recommend either a pasta or a mains not both as too much. Wine was excellent
