Very nice small location. Fresh pasta and menu that goes beyond the standard fare. Prices are very moderate compared to the quality of the food. Great location near the river and in the quiet Trastevere.

Nice spot in Trastevere away from the crowds of the main square. I chose the 16 euro fixed price lunch which was very good value - a bowl of mussells followed by an excellent pasta with tomatoes and zuchini, then lemon sorbet. Nice atmosphere in the covered outdoor area. Staff were a bit run off their feet and some of... More

We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday (because the restaurant that was highly recommended to us was unfortunately closed). The menu has quite regular selection, mainly pastas. We ordered some pasta dishes, lazagna, and in case of 2 of them the dish was cold. The lazagna piece really looked like it was reheated and not fresh. We asked for... More

I visited this restaurant several times years ago when I used to live in Rome and always like it ! This month we came to visit Italy and I brought my husband here on our trip in Italy. We've been served beautifully and for a reasonable price we had a lovely lunch . We eat mostly fish ( seafood pasta... More

We stopped for lunch during our visit to Rome and I was disappointed by the food. The mozzarella wasn't soft and is better back in the UK. I had the gnocchi and prawns for my main, which had very little prawn meat and the gnocchi was tough, not what I was expecting. I think there are better places in the... More

Amazing lasagne, best I have ever eaten BUT my sister is a vegetarian and really wanted a carbonara so requested a carbonara without the bacon, the waiter sighed when she asked for no bacon which was a little rude but understandable as they were busy. When the meal came there was bacon all throughout the pasta so my sister asked... More

We were there for the New Year's Eve of 2017. The restaurant is quite close to Piazza Venetia. The atmosphere was amazing and the food... speechless ! Restaurant is small and cosy. We were a group of four. This is not one of those "tourist trap " kind of restaurants, it's a genuine Italian restaurant. Totally recommend this one !... More

We stumbled on this place while out searching for a place to have an evening meal. We were glad we wondered this way as its really of the beaten path. The place was somewhat empty so we (3 couples) were seated right away. Our server was a young lad who was a charming individual who made our visit even more... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
