I came here because of TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint. The waiter was extraordinarily attentive, recommended the wine and the dishes. I loved the formal, quiet setting that was a wonderful refuge from the crowds I had escaped at the Vatican.

Elegant albeit unpretentious dining in the former courtyard of a palazzo, now with a stained glass ceiling. Casa Bleve offers slightly stylized but traditional Roman cuisine including excellent seafood in an incomparable setting, plus an incredible wine list with prices for everyone. The service is...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood

Anacleto and Tina Bleve, from Cerfignano in Salento, have been living in Rome since 1963. La Bottega del Vino, in Via Santa Maria del Pianto, which they created in the early 70s, was probably the first place in Rome to combine the culture of wine and gourmet food with their well-known art of welcoming and hosting.

Casa Bleve picked up, multiplied and in some way “specialized” this tradition, becoming a focal point, in the heart of historic Rome for Connoisseurs, lovers of quality food, social life and conviviality which stems from the discovery of the best wine and food choices, not only from our country, but from all over world, beyond today’s practices and worldly customs.

Palazzo Medici Lante Della Rovere is located in the heart of Rione Sant’Eustachio, a wide urban area characterized by stately mansions and historic and architectural buildings of absolute value, like the outstanding Borromini’s complex Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza and the majestic Basilica di Sant’Andrea Della Valle, or the theaters Argentina and Valle, or Palazzo Madama, current seat of Italy’s Senate.

Thanks to the accurate restoration, Casa Bleve’s rooms immediately reveal monumental locations and forms that are unusual for a private business or a public venue.

The historic wine cellars, among the most beautiful that can be found in Rome, are made even more precious by a Roman wall from the Augustan age perfectly restored.
