I had lunch here after a visit to the Capodimonte museum. It is situated in front of the porta grande exit of the park. We were two and had 2 starter, fritto misto, very tasty and perfect portion. I had tagliata as a main and...my friend tried the pizza fritta. The courses arrived quite quickly and were hot and tasty. The place was busy but have been looked after reasonably well, by Emanuele. I recommend it if you’re looking for a place not posh but to try some of the classic of the Neapolitan cousine.More

Small family pizzeria opposite the entrance to the art museum. Reasonable prices, lovely fresh food.

A quick, fresh tasty pizza with great tasting dough base. I would probably say it was better than Sorbillo’s at the bottom of the hill. So if you are up at the Museo di Capodimonte then do pop in!

The reviews for the food here are good. I am not reviewing the food, it never came!! We were given menus straight away, we waited sometime for the order to be taken ( 2 plates of pasta ) but the drinks came immediately. Then we...waited, waited, waited.... Eventually we told the waiter that unless the food came we would have to leave. We were told it was coming. After another 10 mins we got up , paid for the drinks and left. In total we had been in the restaurant for almost an hour. No explanation , no apology... not even a tiny bruschetta by way of keeping customer relations happy ! The restaurant is opposite the gates to the Capodimonte Museum and I guess they don't have to make any effort. I would be VERY ashamed if I knew my customers had had this extremely poor service, and if you still decide to give these people your custom I sincerely hope you have a better experience than we did.More

We were thrilled to find this place after a tiring visit to the marvellous Capodimonte Gallery. Having been given the menus we waited 25 mins to order. We ordered two pizzas only to be told that the pizza oven was closed!!!! So we were forced...into choosing pasta instead. Why we weren’t told that (in a pizzeria) that we couldn’t have pizzas as soon as we arrived I do not know. We have now been waiting for a further 20 mins for a simple pasta with tomato sauce. They are having a joke. The food may be ok, but I’m posting this review now as their contempt for their customers is breathtaking! I think we’re going to leave!More

We were visiting the amazing museum across the street (Capodimonte) and one of the security guards recommended this place for lunch (thank you!!!!). Seafood is fresh, perfect seasoning, excellent sauces....all served with a smile and friendly chit chat by the personable PEPPE (waiter extraordinaire). The...fish was so tender and flaky and the squid too. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and portions. GO, you will not be sorry!More

Stopped here for a pizza. The pizza was great and very tasty but i felt no welcomed at all. It felt like the owner was rushing us. There was no smiling or friendly attitude it spoiled my whole eating experience to be honest. I know...some people might have got different views but for me that how i felt. I still say the Pizza was lovely and freshly made but could have been better if the attitude was better.More

A nice little trattoria in which we had the greatest pasta thanks to Pepe’s advice (and the pizze looked delicious) ! Amazing value for money and very practical location if you go to the Museo di Capodimonte

So we took a long walk through the city and up the hill to see the museum and park. We decided stop for a break and a cheeky lunchtime drink at the park entrance. When we walked into this place we told the lady that...greeted us we weren't eating, and that we just wanted a couple of drinks. The place was empty at the time. After she had checked with a colleague if this was ok, we sat at one of their outside tables. Ordered 2 Peroni beers 500cl, and 2 limoncellos (we are trying this liquer wherever we go in Naples - love it!!). We didn't see a drinks menu, or ask the price up front. We had been eating and drinking at various parts of the city, tourist and local areas, so expected to pay around 10 to 16 euros, and I'll normally tip a couple on top of that. So we were billed 20 euros for the lot. Now, this seemed a little bit pricey, and I demonstrated my surprise politely. However, we did get some complementary olives, were right opposite a park and art museum, the limoncello was great and we didn't check the price up front. Oh well, got caught a out for a few euros, we let it go and I paid up before we'd finished the drinks. So we're sat drinking and the guy came out again. My Italian is close to zero, his English is broken, but he keeps talking about "service extra". Neither my wife or myself were quite sure what he meant, but it sounded like he wanted even more money for some service charge. Now HE knows we've just paid a lot for those drinks and WE know the same. So surely he's not asking for a tip?? Eventually he gave up, smiled and went back inside the restaurant. It was an amicable language barrier situation we could not overcome.😊😊 I can't comment on the food, since we didn't eat. Probably won't go back there though, no reason to, loads of cheaper restaurants & bars around that aren't at the top of a steep hill.More

What a shame. The food - white bait, swordfish, pizza and tiramisu was good. But we left with a sour taste in our mouths. With pizza at €4, to be charged €25 for what we assumed was the house red wine was a shock. Since...the items on the bill were not described, and the waiter was busy with other tables, we thought better of arguing. This behaviour towards tourists is sad given that they are clearly doing a roaring trade with the locals on takeaways. If you go, take out Neopolitan insurance by asking the price of every item upfront.More
