Lovely little family run restaurant with small but genuine selection of dishes. It's like eating at your Italian grandma's for dinner. Dishes were full of flavour. We ordered a sele tion of main courses and mixed vegetables. Bloody lovely!

I sorry, the good reviews for this Osteria are just wrong. The meal we had was lousy. I mean really, really poor. The wine was awful. The vegetarian option for a main course was a lump of ice cold mozzarella on a chipped plate. No...olive oil, no salt or basil - just a lump of sub standard cheese. The pasta was old and re warmed in a microwave. And for what you get, it’s not inexpensive.More
The place is minuscule, just 8 small tables, the setting is low profile and the service could be a little friendlier. The menu is minimal and changes daily according to season and availability. But the food is so extraordinary that you will not regret eating...here!More
After a trip on the cable car, wandering about looking for a bite of lunch, people waiting outside this tiny, unassuming place caught our eye. The queuing system is self regulated, the people waiting just keep an eye on who arrived when, there is no...wait list. Turn around was quick. We were the fourth group in line and waited about 15 minutes. The other reviews say it all. Tiny space, crammed with tables, limited set menu basic food, delicious, fresh and well cooked - served quickly and without any pretence. We don’t speak Italian but watched what other people were served and worked it out. The staff helped out. We probably paid up before we were offered pudding but that was our fault not theirs. Took a credit card. Great price. Table cleared for next diners. As they don’t say in Italy - Bish, bash, bosh. As they do say - Delizioso.More
This restaurant is super tiny, and runned by a very old couple and (I assume) their daughter. It’s super cute that they are still preparing food at their age. It’s been a restaurant since 1913!! If you like to pick your own favourite dishes to...eat, then don’t go there. There is a limited menu, well, it’s not really a menu. We arrived and had the choice: soup or pasta? No explanation about the concept, or what kind of soup/pasta. Maybe because we’re not Italian? Afterwards you can choose between meat, fish or mozzarella. There is also dessert (pie) We paid 30€ for the pasta, meat and red wine. Very charming! But be prepared!More
A family owned osteria in Naples, super cozy atmosphere, it’s like being at home! Fixed menu with simple and traditional options. We had frittata di pasta, meatballs and melanzane alla parmigiana. The place is very close to Castel Sant’Elmo in The Vomero area.
Simple delicious home made Italian dining. Family run and very memorable, we were made to feel very welcome. No menu, just choices. Three options for starters the evening we visited; we ate salad and bean soup, the other choice would have been pasta. More options...for the main course, we went for the mozzarella in extra virgin olive oil and meatballs in tomato sauce both served with vegetables. I remember there also being an option of veal and a couple of others. We drank house red wine and had to decline the dessert .. to full! All was absolutely fantastic for €28 euros and we would definitely go back.More
This little hideaway was exactly what we hoped for. Great, traditional Italian food in a quaint family run restaurant. Theres no menu but that's part of the charm and the prices are very affordable. This was one of our the best meals we had during...our week long stay in Italy.More
Quick service, excellent food and modest bill: we don't ask more for a lunch. A familial atmosphere and an authentic decor make this a place worth to visit.
A small place in the area of Vomero with local dishes. We loved it, especially the pasta. For sure we will return.
This place served home-cooked style dishes, with very limited options. You need to choose out of two or three options, but all of them are delicious! The service is typical Italian, but very friendly. It can be very crowded, but tables move very quickly. Don’t...expect star-quality food, but for 28 euro for two people (two courses, including wine and water) it is hard to find a better price-quality offer!More
Honestly...first time was quite ok... Although most dishes are with meat, they could manage to give me ( a new client..and i dont eat meat) a soup or some vegetables.., then i came back 2 times after a while ("old client) and ...both times the...jung woman (forgot the name) sent me unfriendly back because "vegetables are reserved for main dishes with meat..." i found it weird and especially their way of speaking was very unpolite..More
There is no menu, just a choice between two or three dishes for each course. The house wine was awful (both red and white) and the cooking mediocre at best. But the biggest problem is that for the same price, more or less 50€ for...three, there seems to be an almost endless supply of good quality alternatives in Naples, even just steps away from this place.More
As a local, let me tell you, good food in Naples is primarily home food. A lot of restaurants are increasingly tourist traps, especially when there is the pretence of fine dining. But if you happen to be in the Vomero area and don't mind...squeezing into this small family run tavern, then you'll be highly rewarded. They normally serve only a small selection of traditional dishes, a couple of starters, two or three mains and as many "secondi". They also have desserts. Nothing will let you down. You will leave with an uplifted spirit, certainly in need of a walk in order to digest all the food. And it is of course great value for money.More
My family and I came here by a recommendation from a local. If you are in the area definitely come here for an authentic experience. The food was delicious and it really felt like we were in someone's home. The price for all the food...was also very cheap. I highly recommend getting the fried fish dish!More
