We walked up stairs and down alleys to get away from the crowds. We were the first customers around noon but the restaurant slowly filled up. We had cannelloni, grilled sea bass and minestrone soup along with local wine. Nothing exceptional. Service was average. Can't highly recommend.

Warmly welcomed into this cavernous restaurant in a street parallel to the main shopping street in Amalfi. Husband had salciccia and son had penne with tomato sauce.p, me frittura mista which was lovely. Busy lunchtime but we were looked after although close to door which most customers kept leaving open...chilly in April.

Took a little effort to find, but what a find! Local hang out, absolutely delicious wood fired pizza! wish I had more time to sample their other foods. If you like pizza, you will love this place! Look for it.

Not on the main street, but there are signs leading you there. The pasta dishes in particular were amazing!

We wanted to get away from the more touristy restaurants on the main piazza, and had read about Il Teatro in some guide. It took awhile to find it as it's on a narrow street on the hills above the piazza. It's not that far, however, so if you can climb at least one long flight of steps, you'll get... More

What a great restaurant! Small family owned place a short climb up from the bottom of Amalfi. Parmiggiana di melanzane was delicious. The spinach ravioli were excellent. The real star was the grilled fish of the day, sea bass. Simply grilled with salt and pepper with a bit of oil, lemon and parsley, and hands down one of the best... More

Super authentic atmosphere, food is amazing and incredibly cheap. Do not eat anywhere else in Amalfi!

We visited this restaurant based on reviews. We went for lunch. once they finally served us our lunch came in a staggered fashion. My husband was halfway through his scallopine when I had to ask what had happened to my salmon. It finally came- no apology or explanation. The service was not great- staff not friendly, quite grumpy really and... More

From ants on the table to some of the most disinterested staff I have ever come across, the food was average and a lovely day in Amalfi was ruined by dinner at this restaurant.
