While being inMatera in mid March means no crowds it also means very few restaurants open at lunch. But Caveoso was open, service was friendly and the pasta and Secondi well prepared. Recommend.

Returned after a 3 year absence and still a superb local restaurant. Food well prepared and presented, reasonable prices , good wine choices. Lots of tourists but lots of Italians as well. A good Sassi experience.
