We were lucky enough to walk in and get a seat outside facing the beach. We ordered bread which had delicious garlic butter and tomato, followed up with a chicken and vegetable paella. The paella was amazing - the chicken fell off the bone and...the vegetables were sweet. Well priced and friendly service. Would happily come again.More
Mixed up my order giving calamari instead of croquettes de jamon. Poor service so I ate some as so hungry but the food was like rubber. Very slow service and food too expensive for the quality. Would not recommend unfortunately.
Despite the negative reviews on TA, we decided to give this restaurant a try after someone local recommended it. My guess is that back in the day, this was a top restaurant. That is no longer the case. Service was abysmal, the paella was over...cooked, and the sangria was disappointing. This was hands-down the worst meal we had in Valencia, and I wish we gone elsewhere. There are so many better restaurants along the beach, and for truly delicious paella and sangria, go to Restaurante Navona in the old town. Don’t eat here.More
I’ve been going to L’Estimat for over 20 years. Many years ago it was one of the best places to eat paella. I don’t consider it to have maintained the standard it once had. It’s overpriced and mediocre to say the best. Also extra which...you don’t request or eat are later charged for, such as bread. This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel when we said that we wanted to have a traditional valencian paella (i.e. The one with chicken and rabbit). The hotel also said that if we wanted this paella it was better to let the restaurant...know in advance when booking as this paella takes a little bit longer than some of the others to cook. We were there on a Sunday lunchtime and the restaurant was very busy with both locals and tourists. It is a large restaurant nicely decorated with lots of blue tiles. Despite the fact that it was so busy the service was very prompt and efficient. We started with some fried baby squid and by the time we had finished that our paella, which was delivered to the table in a large pan, was ready. Had we not pre-ordered it might have taken a little longer. The paella was very good. With a bottle of mineral water and a nice bottle of chilled white Verdejo, and coffee, the bill came to €62.60 which we thought was quite reasonable. There are a lot of restaurants in a row along the beach but I would definitely recommend this one. We tried another one next door on a different day but did not think it was as good.More
Nearly 60 EUR for Paella, fried calamari, 1 bottle of coke and bread. I had better tasting meal in low budget places. Poor service and poor food.
I had read many articles that if you wanted good paella, to go here. We made a reservation for a Friday night but the restaurant never got really crowded. The waiter told us that the place is packed for lunch on Saturday and Sundays when...families dine together. So if wanting to go on for a weekend lunch, reserve a table. We were warmly greeted by the wait staff as well as the chefs as we walked in. (open kitchen) The paella was delicious and the wait staff attentive. Lots of families dining here, but a few couples as well. The only negative I have is not their fault. The Beach Club has music blaring and the bass and beat are constant and loud.More
Eager to taste the typical paella, we were suggested to try this restaurant on the beach. Unfortunately we were hugely disappointed: the paella is nothing special and the service is embarassing. Despite the food and the service the bill is not cheap. Try somewhere else...
L'Estimat is a traditional Paella/Seafood restaurant right on the beach. We had Bread, Olives and a Tuna Salad to share as the starter. We followed this with the Chicken and seafood Paella which was excellent, allowed very good portions for 4 people and was cooked...perfectly with the right amount of saffron in the rice. Plenty of seafood and chicken in the meal.More
Best palella ever tested. Very good fish and seafood soup. A little late in serving, but the restaurant was full. Place near the beach!
