Visited here as a large group, catered for us without a reservation, we were served a selection of dishes as the menu changes each day and there is no a la carte option. Price is a bit higher than other restaurants nearby but the food is excellent.

I ate here with a group of 8 gentlemen. We just requested they send out various dishes one after the other that we all shared .The food was very good there were no complaints . It seemed to be a family run place . The setting is quaint with nice atmosphere. This restaurant is worth a look . It has... More

Easy to just pass this one, but don't! The food is very nice, and the Iberico ham main course was a clear hit. But also other of the dishes were really good, the Puertorican guacamole starter was delicious as well. Not the longest menu nor wine list, and a bit overworked staff that takes its time, but a slightly different... More

Tucked away down a narrow street in el Barrio Carmen, this must be one of the best kept secrets of Valencia. Recommended by a local friend, the experience was all we could have hoped for. Walking in we were warmly greeted by the owner and the inviting atmosphere. We were overwhelmed by the menu because everything looked and sounded amazing.... More

It was pretty dead on the evening we visited and the menu was quite limited and scrawled on a scrap of paper. The decor in the restaurant was quirky and nice. The man who served us was friendly and helpful. We had the starter of aubergine with tomato, cheese and olives, it was alright nothing to write home about. The... More

First, don't do like we did and try to book online-- the service we tried to use claimed no reservations were necessary for two people but that was not the case. Second, don't think Spanish cuisine, think French-style neighborhood bistro. No paellas or jamon here!! We arrived just as the restaurant opened and they rearranged some tables for us so... More

We popped in to this charming little restaurant as we were passing on Valentine's Day and had a lovely lunch. The food and wine were great, the owners welcoming and the ambience perfect, all at a reasonable price. The clever chef delivers a small menu in which each item has wonderful flavours. I agree with Marianne B about the Tarte... More

I went to La Francesa del Carmen with my boyfriend and his friends from Valencia and we enjoyed a wonderful evening. The food was a mediterranean mix and really tasty- I loved the Tarte Tatin! The owners are very caring and attentive and made us feel welcome. A good experience!

I had a rally great evening with even a greater dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere is familiar and the staff is very attentive The food is carefully prepared and an interesting mix of the French, Spanish and Tunisian kitchen. The place is hidden in a back street and from outside probably you wouldn't notice it.

This was a great experience! We had a fun conversation with the owner in a combination of Spanish and French, as he explained the menu of the day to us. We were a bit hit and miss with what we ordered, but everything that came out was delicious and cooked beautifully. The quality of the food was terrific, the wine... More

Welcome to Francesa del Carmen.A little charming restaurant located in the very heart of “El Carmen” district.Nice music ambience, really genuine cooking prepared with excellent ingredients and lots of love.Warm atmosphere where one feels right at home due to the fact that it is run by the owners, she at the kitchen and he at the dining area.
