Suggested by my brother, who had visited with his girlfriend previously. Lovely feel to the place and the serving was pleasant, quick and easy. Staff are friendly, but the food stole the show! Add the cocktails to the party and you can't ask for more. Would definitely revisit when in Valencia again!

Looking for a restaurant around 19h30 with more to offer then tapas is not always easy to find. We found this colorful restaurant in a small street. The food was great and not expensive. We spent 100€ for 4 people on cocktails, appetizers, a tasteful meal and dessert.

Lovely accommodating staff. Great food. Visited on two occasions, first the paella and second the pulled pork - both excellent. In a side street with other restaurants so busy but not too busy. Entertaining though. Good prices as well.

After nearly two weeks in Spain we looked at TA for slightly different options to the ubiquitous Spanish restaurant fare. After reading constructive reviews from members with over 10 entries, we chose to eat at Babalu during our visit to Valencia. We can report that the food was very good and made a nice change. Having travelled in Cuba, Costa... More

Went for cocktails and dinner. Nice place and friendly service: Good food quality. A little bit disappointed by the paella (small quantity and not enough fish/seafood). Limited choice of wines (2015). 25 euro per person (cocktails not included) is just correct.

We ordered the tapas menu and some other tapas dishes. The food was delicious and the waiting staff were kind, chatty and patient with our language skills. The menu came with full translations in multiple languages. We ordered a variety of cocktails and all were delicious! We would've gone back again but it was the last night. It was a... More

Found Babalu while walking at night looking for a quick dinner. Great surprise. Lovely meals and inexpensive. I had the grilled sepia and my wife the lamb chops....very generous serves. I recommend this place.
