We always eat here a couple of times when we are in Torrevieja. The kids like it and we think the restaurant is quite affordable. This time we were 5 people who visited the restaurant. Everyone took the 3-course menu but different dishes. All the dishes were completely and lived up to expectations based on the price. Fairly ok flavors, and good price. This time, however, the staff was not really on tiptoes, both we and a neighboring table got the wrong food. However, it was quickly rectified when we said so. I still put 4 out of 5 this time in relation to the price. Good food, good drink, service usually better. We will continue to go here even forward!

Neglected premises.

My boy and I just had dinner. The food was good value for money, although the cod and stew were too stale. The cordial attention. Now the place is a little neglected, the menu is quite worn and almost impossible to read.

On the sea front on a nice sunny day in July. We all had wine at €2.50 each for white or red. Then opted for menu of the day at €10.90 each which consisted of 3 courses. I had mains of roast beef with gravy then had a chocolate brownie with ice cream with all the food seemed lovely. Staff were very pleasant too.

My wife & my selections of camembert starters were lovely - Good start we thought! Unfortunately my main dish of pork knuckle was overcooked but worse of all, the chips & salad we're saturated & swimming in fat & in my opinion totally inedible. I asked if the chips could be changed because of their poor condition but the male 'waiter' rudely walked away. I then showed a female attendee, who brought me a portion of chips on a separate plate. Having finished our desserts the bill arrived with a charge for the replacement chips & two 'takeaway' containers - Of course we complained & waited while the staff summoned what seemed to be a higher member of staff, who we recognised from our past visits over the years. He came to our table & said "You should of asked to change" I politely replied I had asked staff to change on two occasions! Eventually the chips were taken off the bill, as was the overcharge for the 'takeaway container'. The wooden box containing the revised bill was then thrown, with distain onto our table!!! Sorry to say, it's definately not the Alingui of old - Staff, service or food! My choice, my money & I'll be spending it elsewhere, in future.

Extremely poor service today

Had the worst service ever here. Have been coming for years and always quick. Food reasonably priced and until today service was ok. Waiting over an hour for 1st course. Order was forgotten but 3 different waiting staff offered menus even when we'd placed our order. No-one thought to bring cutlery or bread. 5 waiting staff walking back and forth but not actually looking at tables. When first course was brought it was incorrect. Seafood cocktail was pretty bad. Not a sign of a prawn and a lot of mushy sauce and pineapple. One of the staff had attitude when I asked for the bread that was supposed to be included. 2nd order taken for dessert which also came up wrong. . Had it been very busy as it normally is,I could understand but we arrived after 2. All in all, a shame as I often recommend friends and this time we've been let down.

Went for a three meal menue, and ordered pork medallion as the main course. What we got was a fat pork chop and a even more terrible sweet mushroom sause. When we complained and explained thet a pork medaillon was not near this, the staff became angry and argued loudly that this was medaillon as they served it in Spain. When we after the main course was served the dessert the waiter almost throw it on the table. Terrible experience, terrible service, terrible staff. Never again. When you see the read chairs outside - please pass and find something else !!!

On 05/25/2024 we were at the restaurant. We sat down and the waitress took our drinks, until then everything was perfect, they brought us the menu and the cutlery. For lunch we ordered a barbecue which we saw on the next table and it looked good. We told the waitress and she told us it was perfect. After 35 minutes a couple arrived who ordered the same thing. And after 1 hour they got their barbecue and we didn't. The curious thing is that there were 7 tables in total and 3-4 waiters who didn't even make the effort to see why a table with cutlery waits so long. If it were that they had the entire terrace full I would understand it but in this case it seems wrong to me. When we said That we are missing food, they told us sorry and that if we want to wait longer and they bring it out. To which we said that we did not pay for our drinks and we left. There are two things to improve, one is for the businessman or owner is to give some PDA to the workers so that it is faster to order orders and that they do not get lost like ours. And secondly, to improve that the waiters are more attentive with the tables since there was not so much work

Went for lunch today and in general the food was lovely , however my mum had ribs and it was just gristle. She tried to eat it but each mouthful was full of gristle and had to be left half chewed on the side of her plate. After 3 mouthfuls she looked closely at the remaining piece and you could see the big lines of gristle running through it so she gave up trying to eat it. We advised the waitress when she cleared our plates but she didn’t acknowledge that the meal hadn’t been eaten. When we came to pay we raised it again with the waitress and her response was that she shouldn’t even have tried to eat it! She raised her voice and became aggressive , so much so my mum walked out. We understand not all meat is good and the restaurant wouldn’t have known , but what there is no excuse for is rude staff!!! The billl was then reduced by 2 euros. Needless to say we won’t be going back here.

Absolutely Splendido

We enjoyed several family lunches here while staying in Torrevieja. The menu del dia, 3 courses for €10, was an absolute bargain. All courses consisted of generous portions and were beautifully presented. We marvelled at the choice and quality on offer on our first visit and went back several times. It was always busy and the glorious weather meant we were able to eat outside (in November). We'll deinitely go back if we re-visit Torrevieja.

My husband chose chicken Milanesa for a main, it seemed lovely, thinner chicken round the edge and thick in the middle. We sat and chatted while we ate, as he got to the middle of the chicken he said it was chewy, had a look and the chicken was raw. We called the young man waiter over to tell him. His attitude was appalling. He said, so you ate most of it then noticed it was raw !! He was almost saying it was my husbands fault for not inspecting it. He was very dismissive and took it away saying what do you want me to do. Well, an apology would have been nice. He disappeared into the kitchen but came back out and avoided us for the rest of our time in there. We mentioned it to the waitress who said she would tell him. We thought that this would prompt an apology, but still nothing. Then the bill came, no mention of anything, no apology, nothing. We wouldn't mind but this restaurant has been popular with us for a good few years, what a shame !!

Lovely to see People out and enjoying a Meal out in the Sunshine again although the Centre of Torrevieja is not busy due to a lot less Holidaymakers. My Friend and I had Menu of the Day 8 Euros 90 Each and it had a Very Good Choice of Starters, Main Courses and Desserts. We were served Mini Bread Rolls straight from the Oven with Salsa and Alioli while We waited for Meal to arrive. We Both had Seafood Cocktail with lettuce, Crab, Prawns, Pineapple and House Sauce for Starters followed by Pork Medallion with Mushroom Sauce and Potatoes for Myself and Cod in Tomato Sauce with Boiled Potatoes for My Friend for the Main Course and Brownie with Ice Cream for Me and Mango Mousse for My Friend for Desserts. I had 2 Coffes and My Friend had a Small Beer. The Meals were Delicious and at 22 Euros 10 Cents in Total was worth every Cent. Equally the Staff were very helpful and it was a Joy to be out again enjoying such Lovely Food. Would recommend this Restaurant to Everyone.

My Friend and I were in Shopping and decided to have Lunch. I had Tomato Soup followed by Chicken Breast with Pineapple and Cheesy Fries then Brownie with Ice Cream and My Friend had Tomato Soup followed by Chicken Breast and Pineapple and Cheesy Fries then Tiramisu. We also had a Bottle of White Wine. The Food was Delicious and at a cost of 26 Euros 70 Cents was Definately Value for Money. The Staff were also Friendly and Helpful.

Lunch with Nephew and His Partner

My Nephew and His Partner were Visiting from England and We had Lunch here will visiting Centre of Torrevieja. We were given Small Bread Buns with Salsa and Alioli, For Starters We All had Fruit Cocktail, Main Courses I had Medallion of Pork, Potatoes with Mushroom Sauce, My Nephew had Fish and Chips and His Partner had Chicken Royal and for Dessert I and My nephews Partner had Rice Pudding and My Nephew had Mango Mousse. All these Dishes were ordered under Menu of the Day at 8.90 Euros Each. We also had 4 Coffees, 2 Large Beers and 1 Coca-Cola Light. Total was 40.10 Euros which was Excellent Value. The Waiting Staff were very helpful in helping My Nephews Partner select Dishes as She is Gluten Intolerant and were Lovely overall. We arrived at about 12 Noon and by 1 PM it was very busy. Highly Recommend this Restaurant..

Good menu del dia with nice prices!

We decided to pop in, take our friends to this restaurant as was good when we were here some time ago. One can eat in or outdoors. Restaurant was packed, mostly spanish, which I find lovely. One could order from the menu or the memu del dia (menu of the day which entails 3 courses at a reasonable price). We had beers, tinto de verano and wine. 3 out of 4 of us ordered from the menu del dia. Good food, good service. Relaxed environment. The toilets can do with a bit of updating. Nice prices. Not fine dining, but very chilled and welcoming restaurant! Thank you for your services!!

Myself and 2 Friends visited while Shopping in Town. We All had menu of the Day at 8 Euros 90 Cents plus Drinks. For Starter I had Seafood Cocktail which consisted of Lettuce, Prawns Crab, Pineapple and House Sauce and Friends had Breaded Mushrooms with cheese Sauce and Mixed Salad, Smoked Salmon, Goat Cheese and Serrano Ham. For Main Course One Friend had Pork Tenderloin, Chips and Mustard Sauce and Myself and the other Friend had Pork Medallion with Mushroom Sauce. Desserts were Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream, Rice Pudding and Titamasu, Drinks were 3 Cokes 2 Coffees and a Large Beer. Total was 37 Euros 90 Cents which was definately Very Good Value. The Food was Delicious and the Staff were Lovely. The only Complaint was that when We ordered Main Courses We did ask for Two Pork Medallion with Mushroom Sauce but one of the Meals was Pork Medallion with different Sauce and Chips but when this was pointed out it was quickly changed for correct Meal. Have visited previously and will definately visit again as the Food is Excellent.
