Delicious food with great service We enjoyed a nice evening with delicious food from the starter up to the cafe asiatico. The service was outstanding. If you are looking for a nice Ambiente paired with delicious food this is the perfect restaurant to visit.

So we chose this because it looked like Spanish restaurants should look - some brickwork arches, terracotta, hanging hams, plenty of wines, pure white cotton tablecloths and napkins, solid wooden chairs, etc. The waiters greeted us invitingly and made us feel at ease immediately. Our...menu choices were a little idiosyncratic, but 'no importa'. A delicious soft chorizo was served with the crispy fresh bread rolls. The wine was lovely. Then the food came - OMG. Out of the ten very good meals we had had in the five days we had been in Spain, this surpassed all of them. We were blown away by the quality and the taste. My daughter's massive plate of 'orejas' put her in seventh heaven, my partner's salad with goat's cheese and strawberries 'was the best meal she'd eaten in a very long time' (and we'd eaten at a 'Great British Banquet' chef's restaurant in England the week before!), my steak (and it's knife) was peerless and one of my sons laughed in delight at the richness and silkiness of his oxtail. There's a terrace out on the pavement, a bar area for tapas and beers and the restaurant where we ate. What's not to love?More

They recently expanded. Great food stayed and so did the staff. Still friendly. Opens late but worth it. Prices have risen a bit. But where is that not the case? When you are in Cartagena do take the walk to dine here. It is worth...it!More

nice and rustic and fairly authentic experience full of extremely tasty dishes made of fish and everything else that lives in the sea. Swift and cheerful service plus reasonable prices.

Recommended by a friend in the UK the advice was to try the steaks, they were excellent all four of us had the tenderloin, all were lovely be careful though as the ladies requested well done (I know a travesty) but they all came out...medium rare. We noticed a table opposite sent theirs back for more cooking. So if you don’t like your steaks red in the middle make sure you say so. The place was packed on a weekday lunchtime always a good sign. The tapas looked lovely and a few ‘sharing’ dishes which we didn’t see on the menu looked fabulous. Super Spanish atmosphere we would definitely go again. We shared a starter (tomato and tuna salad) x4 steaks, x3 deserts drinks and coffee came to €140, we considered that a bargain.More

This came so highly recommended we had to seek it out, the larger restaurant at the back was reserved for a private party, so we were seated at the bar. A wide range of tapas, all beautifully presented and delivered at intervals. Probably the best...tapas we have ever had. Wonderful friendly waiterMore

Conveniently located a few metres from the Sercotel Alfonso XIII hotel where we were residing, Tesco Tio Andres is a typically Spanish restaurant which specialises in Tapas but also has a full menu. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. There seem few restaurants open late...on Sundays in Cartagena. The staff are welcoming and the food is generous and of great quality. Reasonably priced. Ensure you check exactly what you are ordering as the menu is in Spanish and can get confusing. Lots of tapas to choose from. Good range of drinks ( wine etc). Coffee great too. Spotlessly clean premises. The lemoncello was a nice touch at the end of the meal.More
