A disappointing experience. We booked a table with high expectations but this did not live up to our expectations. The service was poor, we had a power cut for 20 mins and the staff were very poor. The food was okay but not Michelin star...standard. The pace at which it was served was way too quick and there was a lack of explanation on how the dishes were developed. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

We visited Restaurant Malvasia at La Manga now in April. Restaurant Malvasia in Playa Honda is a modern and pleasant restaurant, with an exciting menu, and not least a great selection of wine. We decided to have ”Menu Sensaciones”, It is a 7-course testing menu,...which actually turns into 8 dishes, as a appetiser is served before starting on the real 7-course menu. A lot of exciting dishes, but for my own part I must say that "Nuestro atún del Mediterráneo" was the highlight, it was an explosion of different flavors that emerged. They also have several other specialties on the menu, so we'll be back. But sum up, the service was good and food was superb so we had a great evening for which we would like to say thank you and we are looking forward to return Will finally mention that this restaurant does not have a star in the Guide of Michelin but it is categorized as a Bib Gourmand, a quality term that is very exciting, then you really have the possibillity to test out what it means to enter the "world of stars" and that to a very reasonable price. Bib Gourmand is really something that I can recommend to try, very good value for money.More
