One of the most arrogant and careless bar tenders I have ever experienced ... never had the impression to be welcomed as a guest at any time ... have been there twice, same attitude thus not a "one of a kind" experience ... took us 30 minutes to convince the bar tender to serve us even though place was empty... Great decor and atmosphere, both inside and outside the club. Lively with music vibe and party ambience. All were given little goodie bags upon entry and tokens for free drinks during the night.

We went to eat at the Fortuny with a group. Upstairs in the restaurant it's very small but it is okay. I found the food not that tasty. I had a big chunk of meat with much fat. The staff was friendly and the restaurant looks fine. But looking at the price/quality it's overpriced. After the dinner we went downstairs... More

We had a delicious dinner here on our last night in the outdoor courtyard. I have several food allergies, and they were more than happy to accommodate all of them and serve me some amazing food. The courtyard is very pretty and also has an outdoor bar, we were there on a Saturday night and it filled up with lots... More

A 3 storey mension converted into a night club with a restaurant on the 3rd floor, surrounded by tall walls with mean looking bouncers at the gate. But its all good ! The croud is hip, drinks are huge, music is loud, dont bother getting there before 11pm.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
