They have high end brands like Paul & Shark, Mirto (a Spanish luxury brand), etc. This store, in particular has every department you can imagine possible, for instance at this particular location ( because based on the location or demographics of the location, such... Then less than 2 minutes after we got seated, the employee who got us the table was very harsh and kept asking if... More

This place is absurd in a good way! They have about 6-7 floors of all types of shopping for any occasion or situation! They also have a cafe which serves great food, awesome drinks, coffee and churros. It's insane what a one stop shop this place is but it's also packed at all times. The croquettes were good but so... Somewhat of a high end department store. Got some great suits at good prices. Salesman made every effort to make sure my suits would be mended overnight.

This is a good grocery store near the Puerta del Sol. If you need gluten free food you will find it here. Good selection.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
