Definitely quality Italian ingredients are used here. They have an extensive menu of pastas and pizzas. We had one of that best Margherita pizzas that we have had in a long time. Wine selection is large and fairly priced. 10 minute walk from the LaLatina metro stop.

Came there a bit early. They told us to come back in 30 minutes. But obviously they were open...Came back 40 minutes later and the place was full. Didn't even say hi, just pointed at the door and said no!Really ignorant, not very service minded guys. Spend your money elsewhere!! Madrid is full of friendly places to eat snd this... More

Every time we get to Madrid (1-2 a year) we stop for a meal at Emma & Julia. This time, the Langostino Carpacchio was great (maybe a little more citrus would do it good!). Spagetti Vongole and Spagetti Langostinos were fantastic, as as the not to miss Pannacotta (maybe a little more vainilla?). We´ll, as usual, be back!

Our family of 4 dined out here on our fist night in Madrid. We opted for a Italian Restaurant to satisfy our sons hunger for a pizza. The restaurant is very welcoming, Cody (we went in December) and with wry friendly Italian staff that also spoke good English. The pizzas that 3 of our group had were very good (the... More

I went alone by a recommendation I received and it worked as I expected. Spaghettis Carbonara were delicious, and watching the maestro pizzero do their work and Danilo the main metre do their craft was really inspiring. Hope you also enjoy a little of Italy in the middle of Spain as I did :)

We were walking down la Cava Baja, looking for something different to eat in the middle of a thousand Tapas bar and were delighted to sense the unique smell of a wood oven. We had to get in and try. We were delighted to taste authentic italian-style pizza in a modern and comfy atmosphere, at a very reasonable price. And,... More

After locating the restaurant through the website of the Celiac Association of Madrid we decided to make the reservation during the same evening. They had a place for us and respected our table even when we arrived 30 minutes late and we were very thankful for that, being Friday night. The decoration of the restaurant is simple but creates a... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
