Big portions, so arrive hungry as you will not want to waste any of the great dishes you can order here. Full- then no worries they will pack up what you can't eat to enjoy at home later. probably better to book if you plan to go at a popular time

The service was exquisite and the food really good. I had cider and a cachopo which is like a schnitzel with cheese and jamon and it was amazingly good. The portion was enormous enough for 2. I forced myself because it was so tasty.

We used to go to another Asturian restaurant in the same street where this one is located, but it closed last year, so we were recommended to go to this one, and I must say it is a wonderful restaurant. We had fabada, typical of Asturias, and then "rodaballo" in garlic sauce, which is a fish of the north of... More

We used to go to another Asturian restaurant on this same street, but it closed last year and we were told that this one was excellent, and it is true. The fabada is delicious, and the "rodaballo" in garlic sauce out of this world. Desserts are large enough to share. Service is fast. Best make reservations as it can get... More

Nice place to discover Spanish food with the locals either at the bar or restaurant. The eggs and prawns on chips is fab even if it may sound weird ... Would definitely recommend it!

We had an excellent dinner in this comfortable restaurant. Wine was good, starters were excellent and main food (fish and meat) amazing. Finally we had special dessert from Asturias area. Actually the whole dinner was from North of Spain. Furthermore the staff was very nice and professional, and the location of the restaurant close to O'Donnell was very practical. This... More

If you like Asturian food, this is the place to go in Madrid, I am told. I had lunch there last week and was very impressed and would highly recommend it. They have a wide selection of fabadas, white bean soup in a nutshell, for those uninitiated. I had Fabes con almejas, white beans with clams and let me tell... More

Without reservations I can say that La Hoja continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Spain and all over the world. You need to start ordering some drinks (canas) and they will give you small free tapas. If you are really hungry you should order fabada or verdines with lobster (better for winter). If you just have appetite... More

I was taken by my Spanish friend to taste traditional Spanish Cuisine.. We had Eggs/prawn as starter, wich was very nice, then I had the T Bone with Cabrales Cheese, amazing, very tasty, especially as it cooks on your plate (although I asked him to cook it again to med well, they serve it a bit raw).. great meal

Stopped here on way home for a glass of wine, ended up having two and being served absolutely delicious complimentary tapa dishes, first warm dish of wild boar stew, second big chunk of some sort of local cheese, with a bit bread on the side. Service extremely friendly, menu looked very tempting, only sorry we didn't have time to go... More
