Ok, so this is a very touristy spot. Understood. Still, the food is good, the service is on point and the atmosphere is memorable. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a great time at this bar and mushroom serving place, It was just as it was 40 years ago when I first visited. The mushrooms are to die for and the wine and beer go so well with them. If you want the...More

Touristy place with somewhat disinterested service. Nice building with interesting decor & beautiful murals. Tables & chairs were a bit short. We ordered the mushrooms of course. Nine button type mushrooms with a very small piece of chorizo in a flavorful seasoning served with bread....More

Although we’d agree that the location has a certain hole-in-the-wall charm, but this place seems overrated. The namesake dish is just white button mushrooms baked in what seems to be lemon juice with a little piece of chorizo sausage (which doesn’t add much to the...More

It´s a very pleasant place to visit and to eat a lot of mushroom. It´s a small restaurant with a piano in the center that you can hear during the day.

Just down the hill from the indoor, modern market place full food outlets. Go down the left from here and you find a string of tapas bars with good food and reasonable prices. This one and I can recommend the mushrooms and the chorizo sausages...More

This is my “go to” place and one I ALWAYS share with folks new to Madrid. Americans call it the “Mushroom Cave” and it never disappoints. Their menu is only photos so translation is not necessary. It’s just outside of Plaza Mayor. And, they have...More

Second stop of out Devour foodtour. A typical tapas bar. Interesting place, the outside as well as the inside is decorated with mushrooms. An obvious decor, since they basically server mushrooms all day long and is there singnature dish. Mushrooms are cooked with, chorizo, garlic...More

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street
performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide

I am not sure of the hours but they were open during the day around lunch time through late at night. Several times when we walked by they were open. I hope you stop in!
