Food great, whatever you choose you're probably gonna like it. The kitchen is 'open' so you can have a look who your food is prepared. This place is full of people! Lady who served us didn't speak good English which caused few problems with our...More

Stumbled in thinking we were going to Gin Bar which had great TA reviews. Glad we did! The menu of the day (menu del dia) was on our visit only on the Spanish menu. Maybe just an oversight. But it was awesome! The tomato soup,...More

Tucked away in the heart of Madrid, on the very busy and usually too touristy Gran Vía, el Mercado de la Reina was a wonderful surprise. It had a great vibe, nice decor (simple lines) and a very helpful and efficient staff. The cuisine is...More

One of many good restaurants in Chueca district. Great music and 24/7 open kitchen. Very welcoming atmosphere.

When in Madrid, never miss Mercado de la Reina, large variety of tapas, all made to order with high quality ingredients. Breakfast tapas such as eggs and chistorras are perfect to start the day. Love the fried eggplant Andalusian style sliced thin and fried crispy...More

Great tapas in central Madrid, smack along the bustle of the Gran Via. We visited this place for dinner during our short stay in Madrid, and actually returned the last night we were there. The ambiance is modern-ish and the service is, being this a...More

We came here because of the great reviews, but our experience was mixed. First, they were out of chicken, so any dish with that was unavailable. Then my wife's egg dish entree (fried egg with ham and potatoes) came out right away, even though some...More

Went to this restaurant because it was full of locals. Tapas area very busy so cannot comment. Waiters were very busy keeping the restaurant flowing. Clearing tables getting people out and more in as quickly as possible. Ordered drinks then studied menu. Menus available in...More

We at here for breakfast one morning. It was our favorite restaurant meal. Great food! Super generous portions. Service was slow (but I didn't take off my rating for that as it seems standard for Madrid.) I loved my chorizo with scrambled eggs and my...More

Dining tapaes here is special with wide selections of seafood and others. It 's quite busy during its operating hours (11:00-16:00) .sitting at bar for eating tapases is so cool with chatting with others or surfing wifi if just solo like me.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses

Mercado de la Reina (Queen's Market) is a space with three options: a bar with very nice tapas, a restaurant with modern spanish cuisine and the first Gin Club inaugurated in Madrid. Open from early morning until 2:00am every single day, with open kitchen at all hours, you can enjoy a stop in Gran Via at anytime. English spoken and ready to treat you like a Queen!
