We were looking for a late dinner near our apartment in Plaza de Espagna and came across this amazing restaurant. Very welcoming staff and quick service. Delicious steamed mussels and a huge dessert menu featuring brownies. Very reasonably priced. The decor is fascinating with different lighting and eclectic arrangements. Would highly recommend.

We passed this restaurant on the way back to our hotel and went in because it looked busy and interesting. The service was very friendly and they produced a menu in English for us. The food was delicious and the decor is amazing. Super place. Every time we passed this tiny restaurant it was busy .

Terrible service, very rude staff. We were not only treated badly but also taken for stupid, as if we didn't know what a Café Bombon was. One order was taken wrong and we were treated as if it was our fault, but it was definitely waiter's mistake. One of our coffees was cold and we were told that that was... More

Went to this venue upon a recommendation. Restaurant is quirky and has a nice ambience. The food, however, was disappointing. The food was served very quickly raising my suspicion that none is freshly cooked. Key issue was lack of flavour, including risotto very bland, and cod which was accompanied by boiled potatoes which felt like they were straight out if... More

Turned up late no reservation, got a tablet for two after give mins. Food very reasonably priced, ribs very tasty, the pyramids of Chocolate mousse were to dye for. Good value, busy with locals which is always a good sign!

We randomly passed this popular place and tried to get seats for dinner. Unfortunately the place was fully booked, so we made a reservation for a few days later. The restaurant is nice and cozy with friendly staff. The food was average - not a place I would come back to, only because of the food.

Food, drinks and decoration very good! You feel like you are inside a fairy tale while you are eating. We really enjoy the place. Good for dinner time with friends.

The drinks were good and that's about it. The rest tasted like it had been microwaved. The ribs had no meat on them, the mashed potatoes were obviously from a box. All the meals tasted like they were premade.

It made me want to restyle my rooftop! Gorgeous tiny place tucked in the top floor of a shop. They have an inside eating room. But the gem is the garden. Tea & cake was wonderful. Food looked good but we could never get a table for dinner so chose a less busy time of day. Service was good. Not... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
