On the advice of lonely planet we had dinner at Bazaar. It was busy but it's huge. The decor is upscale - clean white with symmetrical groceries lining the walls - it must have been a former shop "bazaar". We had tapas - Greek salad...More

I have a history with Bazaar. It has become a tradition for me to visit every time I am in Madrid. Tonight we ordered a potato dish with salmon for our appetizer. It was very good. Then we had the duck confit and the three...More

Sunday night meal, arrived at 8.30, plenty of seats then but got much busier later. Food was very good and presentation was excellent, service attentive, wines were good and all good value. Very modern decor, comfortable, clean, well lit.

We arrived at 830 on advice of T&L and were seated right away, and had great service throughout. By 9, the place was packed , in a lively but enjoyable manner. No difficulty hearing my companion. The dishes are great quality and relatively inexpensive. We...More

I'm not sure who all these misery guts are that didn't enjoy the food? I'm super picky with my food and yet I found the dishes here fresh and full of flavour. The burrata was creamy and indulgent with a wonderful pesto and fresh tomato...More

Looks great but once you are seated you realize the noise level is very high. Doable since many restaurants can be. However, with all the choices around, I would definitely skip this one. The food is a hit and miss. More misses than hits. My...More

Was here several years ago where the style and service was "fresh". Still a nice setting, food average (compared to same price level elsewhere) but service "professional" like a main street joint. Semi alert and unfocused attention to generic requests like a glass of additional...More

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
