A very nice and different type of restaurant, went to a similar in Paris a couple of years ago. Food could have been better but this is a place for fun and entertainment!

That was a very good experience. As we never go to Opera it was interesting to listen Lyrics songs during our dinner. All singers are very nice and about plates it was a standard quality but good. I recommand this restaurant.

We had no idea what to expect when we went to La Castafiore but were blown away by the wonderful singers and the very talented pianist. They performed some very famous opera pieces with verve and energy, as well as some popular favourites. The food...More

If you are an Opera lover this is the place where you can have an excellent dinner and listening to the servers singing arias and traditional spanish songs. I had the time of my life.

La Castafiore is not an usual restaurant you go for the food, you go for the whole experience. The waiters are amazing opera singers, and no, you don't need to like opera(I particularly don't) to enjoy this place. I highly recommend! Food and show were...More

I've gone here several times with friends and work colleagues, usually during the holidays. The show is fun and lively and the singers are impressive. As for the food, it's often hit and miss. Usually it's OK and I've rarely been served something that was...More

Very good food and service and excellent entertainment with parts that surprised us and makes us think about the evening long after we have returned to Sweden and Finland.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses

We would like to book for a family. Our boys are 11 and 12. Is this ok? I only ask because on one of the reservation sites there appeared to be a box for number of guests over 18, and none other. Odd, but does it mean no children?

La Castafiore is the leading restaurant in Europe (since 1996) for opera, operetta and entertainment. Diners are offered a live operatic show during dinner enacted by the restaurant's singing waiters. The piano sets the mood for the evening and music is present throughout the meal. At midnight La Castafiore invites diners to toast the cast of La Traviata with a glass of Cava.
