We do enjoy visiting at this place. Good was high quality. We ordered bocadillo de calamar, and it was fresh enough. Additionally, we ordered churros and chocolate which both were amazingly good. Price was not bad, we do believe is worth it to eat here. The place is not in the centre but just at one of the biggest train... More

We were tired and did not want to walk far from the hotel. We did not know anything about restaurants in Madrid and how they work. We ended up ordering more food that needed especially that he server did not care and did not want to understand. Food is average, it is good to sit outside and listen to music... More

A little crowded at high tourist season (to be expected) but the food is undeniably fantastic. We tried the classic (seafood) paella and the calamari bread, amazing flavors and done just right. Service was quite good and the complementary ice creams at the end of the meal sealed the deal considering how hot summers in Madrid can get! (Quick note... More

Speedy breakfast service. A little expensive, but probably because it is so handy to the station. We chose bread with garlic and tomato but did have a little difficulty in getting this through to the waiter. However all was soon resolved, with a little patience.

We took a seat outside, prices were redicously expensive (5 euros a beear, 15 euros a tiny calamari dish) and the quality of the food was simply discusting. Avoid at all cost!

I had read a few bad reviews about this place but stumbled across it as we were heading to the Reina Sofia Museum. We wanted to try the calamari sandwich so decided to chance it. The outside area did not look open so we went inside to ask. I asked "can we sit outside to eat" and the man behind... More

Breakfasted here a couple of mornings at the bar - it was fast, friendly and good. Had the calamari roll, their speciality, on the terrace one evening, and while the food was good, the service was slow and abrupt.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
