Enjoyed our desserts! The tiramisu was amazing! Tried to make it to the airport location to bring some home but after 2 hours of searching, were told we couldn't get into that terminal if we weren't flying out of it. Biggest disappoint!

We used Mama F's for breakfast on our recent trip to Madrid. Staff were so helpful and the food was just perfect with lots of delightful treats to sample as well as breakfast breads and croissants, all washed down with excellent coffee. Definitely one to sample on our next visit to Madrid

I went for my Birthday since I had a huge craving of their delicious brunch and desserts. Everything went excellent until I got home and revised the ticket that they literally charged me for the CANDEL 2.50€ !!! Obviously, I can pay for the candle but that they did not have the courtesy of inviting me to the CANDEL or... More

My wife and I visited here for Breakfast one morning. It was quite busy but we managed to get a seat after a short wait. We ordered a coffee and a couple of tostas which were excellent. We also sampled some of the macaroons. The tarts and cakes also looked delicious.

My wife and I came in for breakfast. We tried a croissant each. Mine was chocolate which was literally a croissant covered in a thick layer of crisp very dark chocolate and stuffed with another chocolate bar for good measure. The coffee in here is great too. This place is very popular with locals. Expect to pay less than 5... More

Got a tiramisu cake and a chai latte, chai latte was average, it is really hard to find good bakeries in Madrid unlike in Paris. So for tarts this is the place to go, also if you miss French patisserie like I did, it was obviously not as good but still better than most other places in Madrid. Nice and... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
