We are always looking for a place to find a good salad for an evening meal. This is a great place. You choose which ingredients you prefer and they put it together exactly to your taste. There is also the usual tapas etc. It is a lively neighborhood place and, like lots of local stops, much nicer inside than one... More

It is true that there aren't too much variety of food, but the meal we ordered were very tasty. Waiters were polite and friendly which it is cool. The room is OK, not too much fancy but homely. Deserts were super good. I recommend the this place because of the food.

My first trip to Madrid with friends, and we were lucky to rent an apartment right beside this restaurant in the Latina district. They were hands down the friendliest people we met in Madrid, and that's saying a lot! Pilar the owner is such a bubbly, cheerful person. The waiters Enrique and Xavier were extremely nice and accommodating, happy to... More

Came here after reading some of the reviews. Considered it to be okay, but found that the reviews seem to hype it up a bit. The menu selection, as far as the tapas are concerned, was poor. It had few selections, and the ones that were there, really didn't ring my bell. However, what they did have and served us,... More

I enjoy visiting Tapassentao every time I come to Madrid. It's in a nice location where you can get some shade from the hot summer sun if you wish. The staff are always helpful and friendly and it's a pleasure to sit here and relax. The tapas is great and the beer is cold. What more do you need?

The food is great and the staff are lovely. Just by the church of San Pedro. Would recommend the egg plant fried with honey, the cod croquettes are excellent too. Staff were very helpful after my phone was stolen. Thank you

Great and friendly place with nice bar-people, good wine and snacks. Music was good as well! It is much cozier and "real" Madrid atmosphere than in the nearby and very touristic calle baja places, fairer prices as well! We did not try a meal, they looked delicious though.

Was a great stay in this very cool bar - very friendly waiters who respect and welcome everyone as a friend who comes in :D I most liked the free snacks and free given little shots - that's exactly what you need after a long day of sightseeing. Also the great music (since there i am a fan of "postmodern... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
