Poncelet is an amazing place - a temple to cheese in all its forms and a gastronomical delight. It is a bright, cheery and delicious place to pass the time. The daily cheese boards are interesting and diverse, the wine selection and craft beers are unusual and delicious and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable.

We loved this. A quirky feel, with cheese included as part of every item on the menu. We had wine and tapas. Our favourite was the tartiflette and the hummus flavoured with cheese. We also had puddings, which also worked really well. Great service and the place had a lovely vibe as we sat at the bar! Highly recommended.

Dear customer, Thank you very much for your comment, we are pleased that enjoyed our newly renovated "La Barra de Cheese Bar" with a different proposal taking prominence cheese in such suggestive dishes as our hummus, the maki Norwegian salmon, skewered chicken teriyaki . We hope to see you again in Cheese Bar Madrid. More

A wine bar that does amazing cheese dishes. On a long weekend in Madrid we visited a couple times. The staff are attentive but not overbearing and the cheese dishes are amazing. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful service, excellent food, beautiful decor and a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere make Poncelet Cheese Bar, Madrid an excellent choice for social or business dining. We went for lunch and, although it did fill up, the design of the space and the natural acoustic treatment of the vertical garden meant that the volume level did not become intrusive (unusual for... There are many dishes on the menu, all with a different cheeses processed in it. Prices are a bit higher than in other restaurants in Madrid.

The Poncelet site states clearly: closing time at Sundays are 4:00 PM. Same information is also on the door. In our only day in Madrid, we crossed the city and arrived there 3:25 PM to be informed that the kitchen closes at 3 PM but it would be possible to serve us a cheese table. That's a good compromise but... More

I knew poncelet for its great selection of cheese for lunch, dinner or after dinner. Today we happened to walk by on our way to brunch, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the offer they have. Not only are the eggs Benedict excellent (with a great combination of thin bread and a light hollandaise sauce), they also offer a... More

Who would have thought to make cheese the meal for an entire dinner! We thought we had gone to heaven when we ate at this lovely restaurant! Starters was a lovely cheese dip with nachos, then tempura vegetables with a cheese dip, as well as a piquanté dip, (delicious) followed by the main course - a selction of 10 cheeses,... More

this is one of my favourite restaurants in the world! I used to eat there frequently when I lived in Madrid and returned recently for another superb meal. On this occasion we shared a few cheese themed starters and mains from a selection that included a number of vegetarian options (rare for Spain). The service was spot on, and I... More
