Located in the neighbourhood where most of the beer spots in Madrid are. They seemed to have quite a lot Spanish micros on their list but not all of them available. Well, there was still enough for me. And would be enough for couple of more visits. I liked the interior which was kind of a mix of German Bierstube... More

Poor service. Many of the beers in the menu were not available. We came here on purpose for trying local beers. Waiter rude and not helpful.

Often go to this place for their amazing selection of beers from around the world. They have the biggest selection of Pale Ales and most of them imported from the UK

Its very nice and I would say "classic beer" place with good selection of beers on tap (Czech, Belgium, Spanish, etc) and reasonable good selection of bottles. Beers around 5€ per glass (from 0.3 to 0.5l) with very friendly service and 1/2 price during HH (6pm to 8pm) made this place my favourit one.

From 6PM to 8PM they offer a 50% off on any draft beer. They have german, dutch, belgian and of course spanish beers. Besides the discount, the prices are very affordable and the service excellent. Food is supposed to be great too, but I only tried some fries with sauces (very good by the way).

No digs at Spanish cuisine, but after three weeks of Galician food, a German beer and matching brat were a very welcome change. The selection of beers is excellent, well beyond the limited Spanish choices, and the food was top notch. Highly recommended as either a good place for dinner, or as part of a Tapas crawl.

Right. So. I'm English and have been in Madrid for 5 years. I love Spain and its cuisine. However my inner Brit does from time to time miss 'real' beer. And I don't mean the generic selection of imported low-quality foreign beers. Cerveceria L'Europe, sitting on a fantastic street with lots of great places, is a little godsend. No, it's... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
