The sandwiches with ham are always great and should be tasted when you are in Madrid. Stay away from the paella though and the restaurant on the main street which is like twice the price compared to some of the other restaurants.

I've been here so many times but forget to write a review. Authentic Spanish food, great price, great selection, fast service although the staff could smile more. However I definitely recommend this place if you're in Madrid.

Restaurant is always busy, loved by locals as much as tourists. And how can you not with their great prices? For tourists, menu comes with many photos to make it easier to know what you are ordering. Ham, cheese, sausage platters are very reasonably priced...More

You do not have to have ham here! The ground floor is a busy and photogenic café where all of Madrid seems to gather for a sandwich with many people standing at the bar. Upstairs however is a restaurant which is quite well appointed with...More

It is a place most visitors should visit, at least once. they have some of the best bocadillos and tapas, with very consistent quality, but don't think of it as only jamon. You have variety of salads, fish, meat, cocidos (stews), and all the wine...More

There are six of these in Madrid and all are so busy. You stand at the bar with a small beer and eat plates of ham and cheese with bread. It's hectic and chaotic and excellent. A real feel of Madrid life. The ham is...More

I was lookimg for a place with combined meals, not that expensive. I found this place by chance and I really liked, I only paid 14€ for the main course, dessert and the drink. I think it convenient for money

This is a great place. The authenticity and atmosphere is an experience in itself. Went to two restaurants but the Plaza Mayor one was the best as the staff were friendlier and seemed to enjoy their work more. For a .90 euro beer you are...More

Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music
venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair,
narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the
center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends
outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents,
and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on
the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as
many other parts of the city, but this only adds to
