This was great location for a large group of people with friendly service and varied tapas/entrees. Ideal for families with an outdoor area for dining, tapas or drinks. Child friendly.

We ate at el pimiento verde restaurant during our last stay in Madrid. It's a nice restaurant nothing special about the surrounding the food is their well known advantages, and they are right on the spot. We ate the calamari and the artichokes for starters and then some steaks and monk fish as main dishes. Home made desert and sangria... More

My husband and I were in the hospital with an emergency surgery for 10 days, and they were so gracious and accomodating. Not only they prepared the food for us to take_out, but they brought it to our room. The quality and taste of the food was excellent! And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Pimiento Verde at... More

Went with a large group of business associate (around 20 people) and had a great night. Did an excellent job of looking after a big group. Monkfish was fantastic (both presentation and taste) and steak looked really good as well.

Do not disregard the place because it is a small place, the food was AMAZING, on e of the best I had on my trip. I took the Pimientos filled with seafood, and then the Merluza con Gulas en su tinta. You will thank me.

I had been to this branch of El Pimiento Verde for a business luncheon and was quite impressed by the calibre of food and service. Known for its Vascan dishes, the place seems particularly busy at lunch. Coming back a couple of months later for a family dinner, I was disappointed by very slow and inattentive service and found that... More

Good food, friendly staff. We had risotto and the artichoke flowers. We went on the reviews from Trip Advisor. You won't be disappointed.

The best artichoke flowers in one of the best Vascan Cuisine Restaurants in Madrid. Also great place for fish. But the artichoke flowers are awesome.

Bright and breezy with checked tablecloths and a bustling atmosphere. We had artichokes to share and sausages to share and it was an amazing combination. Can't remember the rest, apart from it was a delicious.

El Pimiento Verde remains our go to restaurant in central Madrid. They've moved to a new location a couple of blocks away on Calle de Castello, but nothing has changed but the digs. Outstanding food and service. Very popular (make reservations if you want to eat in the main dining room). They advertise cucina vasca (Basque cuisine) and this is... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
