We introduced ourselves to Madrid cuisine by making this restaurant our first stop. It wasn’t planned. We happened to be at the Mercado de San Miguel on a Saturday which was packed and we were looking more for a full plate of food as it...More

Charming place in a nice neighbourhood of Madrid. The food is excellent, traditional dishes well served and almost too copious. The artichoke is a must but the squids and the different meat dishes were all perfect. Reservations are recommended because it is very busy.

The artichokes were terrific, but no instructions were given to people who didn’t know how to eat them, and no spoon was provided for customers to remove the “choke” part before eating the artichoke’s heart. We had a pasta salad, although it was explained that...More

Artichoke flowers, Sauvignon blanc white wine, and steak was great. Wok vegetables with prawns was unfortunately only okay (vegetables were soft-boiled instead of crisp and prawns tasted a bit "sandy"). However, staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend to go there for the artichokes...More

This was great location for a large group of people with friendly service and varied tapas/entrees. Ideal for families with an outdoor area for dining, tapas or drinks. Child friendly.

Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights
