We came for the Flamenco, booked only for a drink and the show and that's what we got. The show was enjoyable, with dancers coming up from older at the beginning to younger at the end. I was a bit scared from the negative reviews, but after all I suppose that those were from people that just didn't like that... More

I loved the food and the vintage style of the restaurant, and very much enjoyed the flamenco show! You have to be quite though, during the show, and taking pictures/making videos is not permitted! Also a reservation is not compulsory but highly reccomended.

I'm not sure what the people who gave terrible reviews expected. But, we were pleased with the evening in every way. Sure, it's not a 5 star restaurant. But, you go to watch the flamenco dancers. Yeah, it's not an elaborate Las Vegas style show. But, it's not supposed to be .... it's flamenco, which is more intimate. The dancers... More

This is an overprice tourist trap with terrible food and a lame show. I've never seen flamenco live before but I've seen recordings and I was expecting good guitar music and some spectacular dancing. None of it materialized. Bad singing, bad guitar playing and the dancers were rather on the mature side. They moved well, but that's not all there... More

Waste of money and time! An old woman is dancing and three guys are singing at the background. You don't want to spend your time there. Believe me! The food is inedible and the host isn't kindly.

This "show" was absolutely horrible. Nobody said hello, nobody said goodbye, three men came on stage sat there for a couple of minutes, then a woman came on stage did her dance, then another, then a young guy then another woman, not one word was spoken, then it was all over. it was really weird. What a waste of time... More

If food was better, ratings provided would be significantly higher. Booked through a travel agency that bragged about the venue. Food was pricey : $$$$$ Food Quality: 👎👎👎👎👎 Waitstaff: Good. Comfort factor: Chairs have seen their better days. Tables were tiny with little spacing. Safety Factor: 👎👎👎👎👎 In case of a fire or emergency. Musicians: 👍👍👍👍👍 Singers: 😐😐😐😐 Dancers :... More

Went for a flamenco dance show. There were about 8 artistes and the dancing and guitars were good and passionate. We did not have the food so cannot comment on that. Price for seeing the dances and a drink was 32euros which we felt was a bit pricey.

I watched this with my wife. I don't know what to expect but i was entertained by the performers both the dancers and the guitarist with singers / clappers. Its a different kind of cultural experience. I am not sure if we were lucky or not since there's only three tables including us that were occupied during their performance. I... More

I thought the performers were very good and passionate. We didn't eat dinner, just had drinks. I think there were supposed to be more dancers but the show lasted an hour and half. I enjoyed the dancers and singers. I would recommend this place.

Torres Bermejas, opened in 1960, is the most important and unique in the world flamenco show. Torres Bermejas is unique for its stunning room that reproduces inside the Bermejas towers of the Alhambra in Granada, with walls with Arabic motifs, tiles and wooden coffered ceilings. As well as a memorable artistic history, with the launch to fame of the greatest flamenco in recent times, as Camarón himself, who acted with us for 12 years and where he met guitarist Paco de Lucía. The visitor coming to the flamenco show Torres Bermejas enjoy an unforgettable artistic experience by our Cuadro Flamenco composed of the best artists from singers, guitarists, clappers and dancers.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
