We went there as we stayed nearby so just as we were taking a walk doing some shopping,we saw it opposite the outlet store of BachellerSalvador(which is very affordable and nice). From outside it seemed quite cool and we went inside.Nice wine rosado and tinto.Recommend for atmosphere not for having big dinner.A glass of wine 3.45€

After years of coming here for a drink or two, it's still the same as ever. Friendly staff, diverse range of customers, and an ideal spot especially if you're looking for a quiet drink where you can actually hear what others are saying.

Was walking past and was intrigued by the décor of the place .... was fascinating inside! Then looked at the menu and was immediately enticed by the Irish coffee .... a great choice as was absolutely delicious! Great person serving us who shook our hands on the way out. A real find and would definitely recommend this place for a... More

Stopped in on a whim after a day out exploring the city. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Meant to only stay for a coffee, but we were enjoying the surrounding so much we ended up staying for several hours to enjoy a drink. The service was helpful and friendly - and dealt with my lack of Spanish with a... More

Bit surprised at the negative reviews as I've been here many times over the years and always enjoyed it. Generally it's a mixed local gay and straight crowd out for a quiet drink. Staff are always helpful and the decor is great. It is small, so getting a seat isn't always the easiest. I'll happily return.

We went because it was supposed to be 'a fixture of Madid gay life'. That may have been the case, and the dark and faded interior could indeed be interpreted as over the top in an interesting way. There were not many gay people inside when we visited, however, and the smell of vanilla was just unbearable. It was like... More

Beautiful interior, very bad and expensive coffee and tea, unfriendly service. All these things make your stay not completely pleasant

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
