My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary dinner at the restaurant and thought it was outstanding. We arrived promptly at 9PM (and yes it is easy to miss) and were directed to the restaurant itself. The staff were excellent throughout the evening, apart from the sommelier and maitre d'hotel none of the waiters spoke much if any English, but... More

On our (my wife and me) short visit to Madrid this was the only Michelin stared restaurant we visited. We read positive recommendations and decided to try it. The experience was very good. The place is very nice, the service was excellent and the food was good. We took the 10 causes menu and as we don't consume meat that... More

My girlfriend and I went here for our first Michelin restaurant experience. The whole personnel were so kind and nice when we arrived. Our waiter and sommelier really made this an amazing evening. The food is outstanding, and the menu is a perfectly combined. I strongly recommend visiting Club El Allard. Thank you for this experience. Hope to visit again... More

This hidden gem has wow-ed us for the fourth time. The sommelier Alvaro has an excellent knowledge of pairing wines to the different courses. The setting is great and luxurious on the first floor of an appartment building. No signs at the outside, only people who know the place will find it. Even if this restaurant is Michelin starred, you... More

One of the most creative meals we've eaten anywhere in the world. Every one of the 10 courses were excellent, several were superb, and each was unique, both in taste and presentation. Service was excellent: pleasant, efficient and informative, and the decor was lovely - warm, traditional, and comfortable. Located a short walk from the Royal Palace and around the... More

Noted chef Maria Marte runs a tight ship in the kitchen and the dining room. Our tasting menu seemed endless, which was a good thing, because each course was so beautifully presented and delicious, even when we were full we did not want it to stop. This included perhaps the most helpful wine steward in Spain. He came to talk... More

We had an evening meal here, we didn't do as much research as we should as the restaurant only offers tasting menus, there is a choice of three. One of our group had a few food aversions which the team worked around without any fuss but if we had reakised it was a taster menu we would have pre warned... More

Presentation and quality of the food was top notch, and service was impeccable as well. They make sure to serve the plates to you and your partner at the same time for all dishes. Can see that they deserve their 2 stars.

I arrived a bit skeptical as I had to give my Credit card info ahead of time, etc.. Also, and modesty aside, I have been fortunate to have eaten at numerous Michelin starred restaurants (Fat Duck, PerSe, French Laundry, Waterside Inn, La Gavroche, Bagatelle, Moulin de Mougins.. and many more) and to be honest felt that I was finished with... Staying in Arguelles

Neighbourhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
