Indifferent food, had suckling pig, tender however served in a gravy that only detracted from the dish Service, went at 330, felt like it was a chore Wine, the red smelt like it had been open several days Lots of better alternatives

This place kills it when it comes to preparing a dynamite cochinillo. It is perfectly crispy on the outside, and perfectly tender on the inside. It's the house speciality and they deserve the credit! I would go hear again any time.

We booked this restaurant with high hopes raised by the comments in The Rough Guide. And inspired by them we had the degustation menu at 45 euros per person. But out of the seven courses only two were better than mediocre and they were no...better than good. Staff were friendly and welcoming and it is a stylish environment. But the food was nowhere near special enough to merit the price. A sad disappointment especially considering the guide book’s recommendation.More

Surprising shrimp ravioli, tuna carpaccio, the best cocochas and always amazing vegetables (try menestra... it’s a must!). Really nice people, ambient and of course... FOOD!

Some of the tastiest suckling pig we have tried, served with sliced potatoes and a rich gravy. If in town give this a try. Would have loved to have had a little apple sauce with it too to break through the richness, (we are English!...)More

We did not have a great lunch experience here unfortunately. The ravioli had a strange consistency and smelt and tasted fishy (not in a good way) we couldn't eat it. We were charged 14 Euros for a small bowl of vegetables (clearly this is over...the top). We ordered shrimp croquettes but they didn't have any shrimp in them.... just potato and bacon. Menu did not state bacon so the vegetarian that ordered this couldn't eat it. Based on our experience I wouldn't recommend. Plenty more choices in town. Its relatively expensive and lacks the finesse to match the prices.More

Tipped off by various locals, my husband swears the tender, slow-cooked Carilleras (pig cheek) here are the best in town. I am a fan of the thin-sliced tuna drizzled in olive oil - a really nice (and very Spanish!) way to enjoy tuna. I've also...tried a prawn ravioli, nicely done.More

I live close by and visit Las Cubanas frequently, their roasted suckling pig is an absolute gastronomic party of flavours but other dishes such as tuna carpaccio is also amazing. Service; outstanding! Would recommend to anyone passing by and wish to try something special.

we went to the Rioja region not sure where to go or what to do so we wondered down into the old town and found this little gem. The wines are wonderful the choices are interesting and of course the tapas they offer are fabulous....Definitely worth a turn !!!More

We greatly enjoyed the beef tapas, cochinillo crocante, that is this bodega's claim to fame. It seemed like everyone in the place was ordering them. They also have a good selection of Rioja wines.
