This place is a bit off the typical tourist path. Filled with local patrons. A fairly limited menu but some of the best tapas we’ve ever had. Very seafood oriented. Crowded, fun, friendly and well worth finding.

The most prominent reminiscence that I have from a short trip to Bcn is this place. It was a life experience beside the dining experience, something that came to my mind as a first thing when somebody mentions Bcn. I'll change all the fine dining...More

I can’t even begin to describe how insane this place it! It’s by far the BEST seafood I have EVER eaten! All the food was just brilliant sea food - nothing fancy but just pure heaven, cooked perfectly and they’ve find a way to let...More

It’s one of the places where time stood still and this place would have served multi generations of locals and tourists with their fresh, authentic and wholesome dishes. I make it a point to trek here - to miss this out on place is akin...More

“Must Visit” place for each time I visit Barcelona. And I do it at least once per year. Restaurant without logos outside, very simple, but at the same time very interesting and tasty food. Non touristic place. Nice staff.

Great family-run place. I just loved, loved, loved it. I had the bomba, the sardines, the calamar (not the breaded kind) and the pan tostado (move over, bruschetta). Highly, highly recommended!

Food memories are not easily made and often come at the most surprising of times. I ate at La Cova Fumada across two consecutive days - once with a group of seven hungry blokes and the next with two friends. Both times were equally special,...More

The seafood was so fresh it may have only jumped from the sea. The staff were busy but welcoming. We had to wait in the square across the road till our names were called - it was hot so we got a couple of beers...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

I think they just do the same menu all day which is a tapas menu, I think I included a photo of it on my review if you look back

can’t speak to this with any certainty but I’ve heard the place is open earlier than other joints. I would not count on a different menu being in place, though they may have specials from the morning’s catch (until they are... More
