True to it's rating. We did happen to go around 12:30 so it was much calmer and gave us time to ask a few questions and actually have a place to stand and eat/drink. I would recommend visiting early in the day if it is...More

A great place for tapas and delicious cava! We felt like a local as we stood in a tiny space at the bar with our meat and cheese plates and cava. It's not a fancy sit down - it's noisy, crowded, and the staff is...More

Don't expect a posh experience, rather try to mingle with the local workers who join for quick lunch. Staff are fast, settings authentic. You'll be standing up eating and drinking. They have a rule: You need to eat whilst drinking. Great meat tapas. Will return,...More

Great place for tapas. Very busy when we arrived but quietened down by 9pm. Not somewhere I would go with young children.

I visit this place every time I come to Barcelona! It’s got a great atmosphere and very cheap food and drinks! I honestly love the concept of going in, buying a bottle of cava and a few sandwiches and just enjoying being in the moment.

We read about this place on Trip Advisor prior to our trip. We talked with our friends who are from the area and they stressed how great this place was. They took us around 10 am for a little cava before we took the bus...More

This place might look like a tourist trap but it isn’t. You have to come with friends or family and enjoy the experience while standing up and ordering a really great meat and drink. The noise and decor is part of the whole experience. Worth...More

I have been to this place several times and had rated it in the past with 5 stars for good food and cava, great prices, nice people. This time I was really disappointed. The place was crowded ( as always ). But several of the...More

My wife and I first visited this cafe 21 years ago when she was expecting our first child. This time there were no restrictions on her trying the cava. Tip - specify seco if you like dry wines as the house cava rosado is quite...More

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in
