My twin brother Stephen and I had read up about Brew Pub Le Sec back in our home town of Liverpool before starting an eight day holiday to Barcelona, we were eagerly looking forward to visiting here and this brew pub went beyond our expectations....Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, an edgy cool look to it, beer brewing vats prominently on display, eclectic decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, beers on offer displayed on boards and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this craft beer bar. We were here on a really hot Thursday night, after a quick study of the beers on offer my brother opted to have Yakka Beyakka IPA while I went for Beernat & Dougalls IPA ,both these beers were served in tip top condition ,we just chilled out and took in the great craft beer bar we were in. My IPA was outstanding, a really well crafted and well balanced beer, hoppy and bursting with taste and very easy to drink indeed, a beer style I really enjoyed, my brother also gave the thumbs up to his beer, it's hardly surprising that this bar is so popular. We soon polished off our first beers and decided to stay for one more, this time we both had Alevis Presley pale ale, again we were served an absolutely fantastic brew, again a well crafted beer bursting with taste. We really enjoyed our beers in here, between my twin brother Stephen and I we sampled three great beer styles before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this bar. Brew Pub Le Sec is easy to locate on Carrer Margarit in the Montjuic neighbourhood. Opening hours are; Monday, 6.30pm till 1am. Tuesday & Wednesday, Closed. Thursday, 6.30pm till 1am. Friday & Saturday, 6.30pm till 2.30am. Sunday, 6.30pm till 1am. A fabulous craft beer bar, one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.More

Thank's Neil!!
Small but good selection of beer and food. I did enjoy the stout with our tapas which included cued horsemeat, blood sausage (not pudding!), stuffed jalapenos and pate of boar, deer, duck and partridge. The blood sausage was more like a relish and absolutely stank!...Tasted fine though.More

Great beers, great vibe, plus it's in a basement. Oh, and the food here is better than you'll find in most bars as well. Worth checking out for sure.

This place is everything you want from a bar, friendly staff, awesome beer, don´t sleep on the beers brew there and oh my good the food was amazing. Especially the deer neck and the cheeses...And there´s no denying it but a have a sweet tooth...and the chocolate mousse with the Portershead (greatest name ever for a porter)!!! 100% recommended.More

Was staying in the area, and went here late on a lacy Monday night. There were an 4 or 5 locals having a beer. The ambience is very nice. The brew place in itself doesnt' take much space. There are 5 small tanks and when...I visited only one house beer was on draft. Apart from up to 5 local beers there are 3 or 4 extra beers on draft. Some 40 bottles to choose from. Service is excellentMore

Really liked this place. Their IPA was exceptional. The layout is stripped back walls and bare beams. Nice touches are the glass panelled bar with guest kegs and viewing ports into their own brewery. A bit expensive at €2.50 a half, but its artisan man..

This is the latest in the growing trend of gastro-pubs in Barcelona. They have great micro brews, and an interesting tapas menu (definitely order the pork tacos), in a super warm and comfortable atmosphere. Very friendly people working there, once again elevating Poble Sec to...a neighborhood that offers everything!More
