This restaurant has very little atmosphere or warmth. The food was very good but not 3 star in comparison to others I've been lucky enough to enjoy. I feel there are better examples of excellent food in Barcelona but perhaps we just attended on a bad night. I had the scallops which were lovely and light, the pigeon which was... More

The level of service, food, wine list and atmosphere that one expects from a Michelin *** - does not disappoint, as some of our recent experiences with similar have. Will definitely return.

Flawless. Absolutely the best meal I've ever had (and I've dined at restaurants like Alinea in Chicago and Eleven Madison Park in NYC). Fantastic, attentive service, delicious wine pairings, absolutely delectable food with incredible presentation. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Being 3 people for Lunch. Came with a lot of expectations, but really with no reason to come again. The food was good, but that's all. We expected for a real good experience, and it was big disappointments. The Meat was good, the Salads the same, lobster was tasty and the wine OK. Deserts are tasty as any good restaurant... More

We tried to get reservations at Martin Berasategui (rated #1) on TA for 2016, but they were closed during our visit to Spain. This is their sister restaurant and I felt like they lived up to the reputation. Service was exceptional and food was tasty and well-presented. This was the first restaurant of 3 nights of 3-star Michelin restaurants and... More

The only three Michelin star restaurant . It's located in the famous shopping street , so, you can have dinner after your shopping I really like the appetisers. My favourite one is the pastry top with goose liver and green apple. All the ingredients mix well and do not over power on each other. The chef use this technique a... More

Was there luckily as someone cancelled. Tried to book ahead of time but without luck. Cannot imagine how lucky I was to have had dinner there. The food was excellent and the service is amazing. Well worth the amount spent!

been there with special someone and , after few months, we are still talking about the dinner. Yes, it takes long to get a full menu, yes, it is not cheap, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and it is truly a gastronomic journey . The selection of 6 or 7 different kind... More

I have been fortunate enough to eat at several Michelin star restaurants in my life. I had high expectations for this restaurant as I read many of the reviews before I booked. I was celebrating a romantic occasion and sent the restaurant a message prior to my arrival. Overall, I was very pleased with the restaurant and had a great... More

It was my birthday treat and our first time at a Michelin 3 star. It’s extremely elegant, the tables are huge and there are very few. They have white cloths, per setting 2 cream plates and 1 fine wine glass and a really quirky sculpture. There are masses of staff and they work together very nicely. It costs an arm... More

Lasarte Restaurant opened in January 2006 and holds 2 Michelin stars since 2010. Lasarte is Martín Berasategui's cuisine embassy in Barcelona. After a full renovation carried out recently, the new Lasarte Restaurant is surprisingly much more modern and with more spacious and bright look. The emphasis on light, textures with dominance of oak and selection of furnishings have been the mainstay of the entire project to give the restaurant a unique personality. The culinary offer keeps the essence of Martin Berasategui's cuisine. At the head of the kitchen is Paolo Casagrande, who presents a selection of Berasategui's signature dishes with passion and enthusiasm, as well as new innovative dishes created especially for Lasarte. Joan Carles Ibáñez and his front of house team are the kitchen's ambassadors in the dining room and responsible for ensuring this wonderful cuisine reaches the table in a simply perfect way to make any visit a celebration. The restaurant has a semi-private room in the main dining room and a second private dining room, called the Chef's Table for up to 8 people -located in a loft over the kitchen with a glass wall that allows our guests to follow on all staging and creativity of the dishes.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
