Greeted at the bar, escorted to dining room downstairs. looks like couple hundreds yr old place, loved the atmosphere. blood sausage and others came complementary, was very good. ordered salad, garlic soup, fish and mushroom to share with my bf, they nicely separate all dishes in two. mushroom w foie gras was out of sight, omg! It is pricey but... More

It was perfect food, good service, the quality of drinks and variety is worth the prices and probably one of the few restaurants in Barcelona for the area with its own parking garage and personalized service. A must go if you are in town.

Among the best roasted lamb that I have ever tasted. Right up there with Casa botin in Madrid. Also wonderful foie gras. Delicious lobster bisque. Excellent Lobster crepes. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Lovely sitting in a wine cellar.

My wife and I had as an appetizer garlic soup, which we liked. She had flounder, which was so so. I had fish with an olive oil and garlic sauce that was terrible. I used to order the same exact dish at a very good Spanish restaurant in Guatemala City and I much preferred it to the one in Gorria.... More

Top restaurant food wise!!! The best meat I have eaten in ages, really. The service was on the 1970's side, waiters were cold and especially humourless. The owner on the other hand has thousands of pictures of himself posted with celebrities throughout the restaurant , rather tacky I'd say. Nice guy but how much self exposure ?

We went to this restaurant on our last night in Barcelona hoping to get a great memorable meal . We ordered fish soup and lobster bisque as appetizers which were pretty good so we expected great main course to follow . We ordered steak and lamb chops for a main course. The steak was just OK, not much flavor ..... More

I went there with my family. found the recommendation on TripAdvisor and it was brilliant. everything was delicious and plenty. I would say the fish dishes serve very well for one..maybe two. but the meat dishes are definetely for at least 2. It a guaranteed good night out.

We had been to the top rated Windsor the night before, which was excellent, and thought Gorria was superior. Everything cooked to perfection with especially luscious sauces. Lamb is a specialty as is monkfish (3 or 4 different preparations). The starters we had--red beans (who knew they could be so good?), peppers stuffed with spider crab and potatoes with foie... More

Upon entering the restaurant, you walk down a steep flight of stairs into a subterranean stone cavern — a former wine cellar with vaulted ceilings and wine bottles lining the walls. Old world. Rustic. You’re shown to your table. After taking in the ambience, the background music and reviewing the menu, you realize you’re in the Basque country. Our meal... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
