I had dinner with some colleagues and thank goodness I was not picking up the bill... the restaurant serves good food but the prices are oh so exaggerated. For the money you pay you would expect immaculate service, well some of their staff need to go back to waiters school or go and work in a cafe instead. Fish was... More

Of course, the specialty is fish and seafood, and it's so well done. The fresh sea bream was brought to the table for inspection along with the other offerings. Plus the waiter suggested some small clams (tinelle?) that were off the menu. "Would we like to try them?" Of course and not disappointed with the clams or the bream or... More

Second time we came and this last time was way too deceiving. Lack of a decent quality service, waiters were like unmotivated and not looking after customers, they told us all the shell food was out (really? You come all the way here just for that and you can't eat it? In this restaurant? Not even at lunch time????). We... More

This is supposed to be a favorite with the locals ("the best restaurant for fish"), but we were not impressed. Most of the "fish" was in fact stuff like octopus. I got one of the few fish dishes, which was quite ordinary. My wife had the only meat dish -- also ordinary. They simply did not have a full-bodied wine,... More

We tried this restaurant because of the reviews we read on TripAdvisor. I must say while the food was good, not great, the price was way too high for the quality and experience. Moreover, the staff was not very friendly and not very attentive. 140 Euros for a dinner for two is ridiculous considering I can point you to many... More

Els Pescidors is situated on a somewhat remote square in Barcelona. The restaurant itself is a bit quirky. Service is quick and knowledgeable on the food they serve. Our ansjovis starter was very nice, the cod fritter ... we've has better. The oysters were excellent. We ordered two fish dishes of the fish they locally catch fresh each day. They... More

The grilled vegetables and the gilt head bream were amazing! Even the potatoes and onions that came with the fish were great. Tasty little Aubergine appetizers as well. Desserts were amazing as well. Mojito and chocolate with ice cream and honey

This restro is a little bit far from town but can easily get to by 40 mins from plaza de Catalunya or around 10 euros by taxi. Since it's so far away from town, the ambience is good! The restaurant manGers and other servers are very professional and passionate! My special thanks to the manager who took care of me... More

Try to go in a bigger group so that you can order several items to share. The sea bass was succulent and tender and the paellas were tasty. Also enjoyed the salt cod fish fritters and grilled bamboo clams.

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
