Loved this off the beaten track, locals hangout that is welcoming to visitors as well!! We went with friends late in the afternoon so while crowded, we were able to secure seats at the bar where you can witness all the action. Had the favorites which included this incredibly light, but delicious tuna salad served with buttered, fried toast points, the obligatory sirloi with foie gras prepared right in front of you, shishito peppers, and the draft house flautas. Right near the beach, this is a must...

It is about time to give one of my favourite places in Barcelona the review they truly deserve: Great little place with honest food and home-brew beers. We have been there on various occasions over the years and never been let down. The waiters are a class of their own and always in a good mood, visibly enjoying their work. The food is plain and simple, but excellent. My favourites are the spicy tuna salad and the sirloin with foie gras and caramelized onion, which will be artfully prepared at your sight. Normally the place is packed, but now it is rather sad to see it halt empty with all those senseless COVID-regulation changing from day to day. Good luck, I wish you will survive!

If you want an authentic tapas experience then this is the place to go. I would say the majority of the customers are Spanish or locals that keep returning. We were lucky enough to be recommended by a taxi driver. The tapas were terrific; freshly prepared in front of you, along with good beer served in different size flutes. The bet was the pork brochette and the fried potatoes. Bacca was brilliant, patiently explaining in broken English each dish along with his recommendations. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is superb. Very Highly recommended.

This is a small cervecería in the Barcelonta neighborhood of Barcelona. It is apparently popular as there were already a lot of people there when we arrived. Everything we got was excellent, from simple tuna salad with toast to the ham and egg sandwich with cheese and fried calamari. The crowning achievement and the reason for my visit is a specialty of the house, a veal steak smothered in seared foie gras. This was truly one of the best things that I have ever eaten. The beer is nice The waiters are friendly and manage their busy day cheerfully. I was a very happy guy when I left. If you are ever in Barcelona, do yourself a favor and find this place. It is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent brewery with native foods. The attendants Jose Manoel, Angel and Lao are incredible professionals, they made me feel like I was at home with great friends. The dishes were prepared with a lot of zeal and dedication, incredible flavor and a very rewarding experience, both for the reception and for the meal. The beer was also amazing!

It's hard to explain for us how is it possible that this restaurant is rated 4.5 at present, because our experience has been terrible in every aspect. Dishes'size is ridiculous, their quality is scarse, and furthermore they're unbelievably overpriced. The only positive side: the waiter has been very nice with us. A tourist trap, essentially.

We stopped in after reading a blog review. The grilled calamari was fresh, the peppers good and salty, staff very friendly - BUT the cheesecake was FANTASTIC!! You could tell it is a frequent restaurant for locals. very good.

Fun tiny tapas bar on a side street in Barceloneta. The bartenders have uniforms and the mugs and interior reflect Austrian or German culture. We had the pardon peppers and beer. Tight quarters with a long bar. Loved the vibes.

This is the perfect place for a good beer with few but well and freshly prepared meat tapas. The service is warm, friendly and fast although it is very popular during lunch time. Recommended for a light lunch or a (not so light) dinner

This place is historic, I met it 25 years ago and it has managed to maintain its charm, you definitely have to drink beer (I like the mix they make of blonde and black), their flute-type glasses are called Flute and Philharmonic (the big one). , the food in small portions (at a very good price) Foie, canapés, skewers, etc. (all very delicious) and a waiter who controls everything, you don't miss anything (the man's name is Antonio), a must-see place if you go to Barcelona (I will return)

Authentic, friendly with fantastic food. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t walk past. The sirloin steak was some of the best steak we’ve ever had. Not your place if you want a sit down meal with a large group but great for small groups, solos or couples.

Amazing beer, tapas and staff. Spicy tuna salad is to die. The decor is old fashioned stylish and looks very luxurious. It’s like walking into your best friends house. The staff treat you amazing and are funny.

This is a great local tapas place. Off the main tourist beat. Most customers were speaking either Catalan or Spanish - a good sign in and of itself. I had a great meal. Great tapas in an environment full of character. Guessing the waiters have been here their entire careers. I would definitely seek out this place again.

Was doing a tapas tour with formerly-local chef, who had moved away and not been at this restaurant for a couple of years. Changed? Very crowded, but snagged a table in the back. Wine and beer and a couple of snacks. Good. But the aim was some special meat dish – which simply did not arrive. The waiter, when asked, promised: “soon, soon; everybody comes at the same time.” Again - same response, but no action, suggestion or apology. After at least 45 minutes, we left.

What to say? If you haven't been there yet... go there! Typical flavors of Barcelona, all served at the bar, where you can have a chat with friends. Truly excellent dishes, especially the solomillo with foie and onions and the Russian salad… Their beers are also good! I will definitely be back! 🍺

Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
