Great food in a very atmospheric atmosphere at a sensible price. We had lunch here, scallops for my wife and lamb shoulder for me. The scallops were exactly as they should be and the lamb was beautifully tender and full of flavour. Wine by the...glass was very acceptable, the red (Alcor) was particularly good, The meal was rounded off with a generous glass of Duque de Alba brandy. A great experience with a reasonable bill at the end (70 euro)More

Had lunch here on Sunday during a long weekend in Barcelona - last ate at this restaurant on a trip about 5 years ago. It was as good as we remembered it! Not your typical touristy venue, feels very traditional, although located in the busy...Gothic district. Ate mainly seafood, hake, paella, cod and some starters of tomato bread and iberico ham. Well looked after, make sure you book though!More

This place serves modern Catalan food in a lovely old room with great art in the middle of the Gothic quarter. Most restaurants close by are touristic but this is outstanding with good food and service for a reasonable price. I have been back a...few times and it is always good.More

Situated in the Gothic area mentioned in the fodors guide. This restaurant started in 1924. We went on a Sunday for lunch and it was very full with locals. Good local dishes , very fast and efficient service. Food was really tasty and well priced....Two courses each and one dessert with four glasses of wine between the two of us for 85 euro. Despite being very full for Sunday lunch dishes came very fast after ordering. Fodors guide mentions that they do not have coffee which is in correct . Would recommend.More

I decided not to have lunch here after I saw the kitchen door open (directly onto the street) and with pots of cooked food on the floor. They should revise standards.More

This is a great place for unusual dishes (eg sweetbreads, pig trotters) and also offers an excellent seafood paella. Surprisingly reasonable prices

Had a great experience here . We found this restaurant accidentally. Their food is great and delicious, authentic Catalan cuisine. The restaurant was quiet, there were not many customers. The waiter was very nice and professional.Everything was amazing and reasonably priced.

This was our second visit to Agut. We had been for dinner back in 2011 & visited for lunch this time. It’s a great restaurant. Lovely staff & very nice food. A classic style is evident here, traditional in some senses & all of the...food was very well cooked. Lovely authentic atmosphere. Quality all round. Highly recommended.More

We recommend Agut due to quality, variety & service. We had 2 starters, 2 main course (great fish) and 2 desserts as well as some wine. We paid 95 euros. Of course its not cheap but its worth it because of the high food quality!

This was the perfect introduction to tapas food. Just delicious and the service was excellent. It was the benchmark we set all other restaurants against, and not many were as good. A must in Barcelona.
