We had a bit of a wait as this place is so popular, especially with locals but it was well worth it. We had the taster menu and added other tapas dishes to that. It was bustling and busy and that creates a great atmosphere. Loved the food, Sangria and the beer too. One of the best I have tried... More

Sitting in a bustling Catalan restaurant in the back streets off Les Ramblas was the perfect way to end the day in our trip to Barcelona. We had the Tapas and there was so much to eat! The quality of the food was excellent and the service also. The table behind us was occupied by some Germans who meet at... More

Really lovely food, great selection of traditional tapas and sandwiches for a really good price. We got 5 tapas and a lot of sangria and had the best time. Most traditional and tasty tapas we had all trip. Highly recommended.

I went there with my friend for drinks and snack, it's apparently a typical Spanish restaurant with tapas - if you are looking for fancy interiors or healthy food you definitely won't find it there, but if you need a glass of beer and some tapas, that's definitely the right place - the staff is quite kind, the prices are... This resto is a tipical Taperia catalana. I I recommend you order the dish of the day or a better choice could be THE TAPAS! In this case the very handsome staff will bring to you not less than 10 dishes! Pimientos de Padron, chorizo, morcilla, manchego, pinchos, croquetas, and other else. Enjoy with a cerveca and you will be... More

We had dinner here on a Friday night and it was definitely one of my favorite meals we had on our entire trip in Spain. It was good local food at a very affordable price. The restaurant appeared very popular with locals, I think we were the only tourists in there. There was no English on the menus and staff... More

We just blindly picked the tapas as there was no English menu and every item was amazingly flavorful. The mushroom tapas was definitely one of the most flavorful I've tasted.

We had dinner at Elisabets in 2015 and decided to come back again in 2016. We brought friends to enjoy a local experience. Not much English is spoken, but the wait staff was helpful in recommending a dinner selection. Wine is inexpensive, the clientele is local and not tourists, and they only take cash. Come for a real experience.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
