Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The bar/chocolate shop is located in the convent of Sant'Augustà in carrer Conerc 36 and was set up by an association of pastry chefs. The entrance ticket to visit the museum costs €6.00. Inside you can admire many sculptures created exclusively with chocolate.

Great little cafe with exceptional prices! Stunniing setting amongst very old convent walls! Great find!

A cafe with a lovely shaded terrace inside an old convent.
A great spot for kids in the afternoon, or a quiet coffee spot in the morning.

This is a great place to let the kids run around and have a coffee in a historical setting. The bar is spacious!

Good for a coffee or two in a pleasant ambience next to the chocolate museum. Worth a short break if you are close to it.

This is primarily a small, child friendly (0-3 years for play) coffee shop and bar open 10.00 to 19.00.The play area is small but well used and has toys that are appreciated by small hands. Parents and grand parents can enjoy their favourite drink and a selection of pastries. When it is not raining there is a large yard for doing what all small children do, run. On our visits the nationalities present reflected the cosmopolitan nature of the city. Staff are friendly.

My girlfriend and I were two lowly, thirsty Irish-people when we stumbled upon this historic looking eaterie/drinkerie. The enthusiastic server Cinithia greeted us kindly and upon us mentioning we wanted a cheeky vodka-lemon, she briskly went to work. The effort that went into our drink was astounding, considering it's simplicity. She said in Spanish that she wanted to give us a real Barcelona experience and succeeded in doing so. We would definitely visit again.

it's a lovely property but lacks a proper vibe. favored by locals during the day with small children as it has a safe courtyard outside for kids to run around in. average offerings for food and drink.

We went "por casualidad" randomly in this little open court and discovered this coffeplace, perfect to relax and have a break.
Easy and simple. We didn't eat there even if it was tempting, but just went for an afternoon drink. Reinvigorating break in this amazing hidden courtyard.

We stumbled upon this place and were amazed by the tranquillity compared to other parts of the city close by. Well worth a visit, especially at night with the beautiful lighting.

Decent lunch, but an amazing location. Well worth your visit, if only to just sit there and have a drink.

Out walking on a beautiful day started to think about lunch. Had with us 'The Rough Guide to Barcelona' and found a possible venue close by. To be honest it was difficult for us to find as we had approached it from the 'wrong street' and were grateful for the assistance of a local. It's a wonderful setting and seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of the Barcelona traffic not too far away. It's a converted old convent and it's simply a wonderful setting for a cafe. It was quiet and peaceful and the food, service and prices were good. If you're out walking in the neighbourhood we can strongly recommend it.

I really love this place. The people are friendly, the atmosphere's great, and the surroundings are stunning (the bar/ cafe is located inside an incredibly old and beautiful building).
That said, we went because we wanted to find a quiet spot to do some work and this place had a large "wifi" card on the door. When we sat down and ordered food, however, we discovered that they don't actually have their own wifi, but use that of the local council. This is unbelievably slow, which, as most people know, is infuriating when you need to get work done.
Overall, it's a wonderful place and worth a visit. But take a book or some friends, not your laptop.

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
