Homo Sibaris was a great craft beer bar my twin brother Stephen and I had read up about in our home town of Liverpool before starting an eight day holiday to Barcelona, we were eagerly looking forward to our visit and it exceeded our expectations....Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, the interior is awesome, light, airy and modern, exposed brickwork, nice decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and beers displayed on boards, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and vibrant Plaça Osca, it really is a superb craft beer bar. We were here on a roasting hot Saturday afternoon, bar was busy with a great atmosphere, After a quick study of the beers on offer my brother opted to start with Los Populus bitter 5% while I went for Populus Homosibaris golden coffee ale 5% ,both these beers were served in absolutely pristine condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My ale was superb, smooth to drink, bursting with flavour and very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoyed, my twin brother Stephen also gave the thumbs up to his beer, while sipping our beers we already had our next beer picked out and we both opted to have a great Belgium beer and went for Oud Beersel framboise, this delicious sour beer was just a joy to drink and on such a really hot day very refreshing indeed. We really enjoyed our beers in here ,between my brother and I we sampled three great styles before we moved on and for a first time visit to this bar we were very impressed. Homo Sibaris is easy to locate on Plaça Osca in the wonderful Sants neighbourhood of Barcelona. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 5.30pm till Midnight. Friday, 5.30pm till 2am. Saturday, 1pm till 2am. Sunday, 1pm till Midnight. A great craft beer bar in a wonderful plaza and most definitely well worth seeking out.More

Homo Sibaris was very close to where we were staying. They had some wonderful hand crafted ales, and were happy to offer samples before serving. The Citra was my favourite, but there are lagers and darker/stronger ales. We didn't try the tapas, so I am...unable to comment on the food.More

So this place is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but less than 10 minutes from Sants railroad station. Homo Sibaris has an absolutely wonderful selection of beers, including some tremendous Spanish selections. The owner is very nice, extremely knowledgeable and quickly switched to...English after my sorry efforts to speak English. Located in Place Oscar, an attractive leafy square. Highly recommended!!More

A nice place to meet friends. They have beers homemade-artesans. They have some tapas to keep company. They have free wifi and they have terrace on the square. It is not expensive places and nice atmosphere.

I love craft beers and I produce mine as well.... So when I go in a local brewery I expect a lot from them. this Homo Sibaris offer some good beers but they do not use to help customers to know about beers details or...brewers for example, they are just in the sell-one-more-beer-fast mood and this is NOT the way to run a brewery indeed... It is necessary more customer care and more attention on the details of paring food. Homo Sibaris offers a weak tapas menu and they do not know anything at all about food-craft beer pairing or they do not want to spend time to help customers to choose the right tapas with the right beer. The craft beer is a culture and not a simple matter of drinking a beer. This place need to pay more attention to the customer care and food pairing.More

We wanted to drink vermouth and eat tapas in Placa D'Osca, Homo Sibaris was where the first available table came free. Even though its focus is craft beer (and carbohydrate-rich tapas to accompany beer), we thoroughly enjoyed our vermouth and food. The waiter was charming...and knowledgable, and just the general atmosphere of being on the square was terrific. On a longer stay we'd have gone back to try the beers.More

Another great find for craft beer lovers. They have a nice selection of beer on tap including some they are involved in making. Straight forward tapas menu supports the beer well. Friendly and helpful staff.

I went to this bar in the summer, and apart from the craft beer, they also have a great menu with amazing food. Possibly one of the best salads in the world, that's also suitable for vegans. Rejoice! A great atmosphere on the terrace, great...service. A fantastic find. The only downside is that it's not open for lunch.More

Had a great experience on a Saturday night. The beers on tap were all amazing and unique from one another. We had to try them all. Different size serves are available if you want to sample. The food was super fresh and delicious. The owner,...Guillem, is incredibly nice and passionate, he gave us a ton of suggestions. There is a small bottle shop in the bar, but they have recently opened a larger dedicated shop around the corner that is definite worth a visit, with an amazing selection of local and foreign bottles.More
