Absolutely brilliant. We were recommended this restaurant by friends. We arrived early, literally 10-15 mins after it opened at 8pm. At that time we were the only people in the restaurant however within 15-20 mins the restaurant was half full. Throughout the staff were friendly, attentive and forthcoming with dish and wine recommendations. The food was excellent, full of flavour,... More

It was by the best meal we had in Barcelona thanks to our guide Jordi from "Hi, this is Barcelona" who took us there. We were a big group of 12 and they took care of us. They even made stuff for kids that was not on the menu. Highly recommend the garlic shrimp. The batatas brava were to die... More

The hostal we stayed in across from the restaurant provided vouchers for a free wine or beer. Together with the 50% off when we booked via tripadvisor, it was superbly good value. The Truffle rissoto and Coca Sara with crunchy Iberian ham were particularly outstanding!

So good, but expensive. Bacalao was to small. Service was ununderstandable. Too much people, but nobody knows. But, in the hole, restaurant not bad. Fish so fresh!

We came across this restaurant while searching the area. It's not easy spotting the restaurants in the narrow streets, but this had been recommended to us. Very cosy restaurant with a good selection of seafood on offer and reasonably priced.

We selected a group menu including wine, first and second dishes. The wine was very low quality, the first dishes bad, when the second dishes came up I told the manager that what they were bringing was bad. She told me that if I didn't like it I should go. I woke up and left.

Great experience! Wonderful meals! We've been there twice during our vacations, we've eaten calamaris, rice with fois and trufel oil, both amazing!

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
