It is a gastronomic offer based on ready made sandwiches with quality, seasonal and ecological products, a slow food place disguised as a fast food one. Delicious creative sandwiches based on Catalan cuisine dishes, excellent roasted chicken with dried plums or codfish with Romesco sauce and many more in addition to the classics such as Iberian jam and sausages. Visited this place with somewhat good expectations reading upon "gourmet sandwiches", but left feeling slightly underwhelmed. They had an ok selection of wines by the glass, which was nice, but I were expecting more from the sandwiches considering their price.

Nice environment, you look at the wall menu with pictures, choose your meal, order, pay, go to the table and have a seat. The waitress brings you the tray and that's all. No emotions, no errors. The food is pretty good, but just once!

The concept is well known, slow food with organic products. It is what's given, but food is rather tasteless apart from the chicken sandwich. Prices are a bit high for a sandwich/salad/drink menu (over 12€), other slow food place offer better bargain in the City. You are given recycled towels and fork, encouraged to separate wastes... But water is served... More

Perfect place for a quick bite accompanied with wine. Wines are served by the glass through machines that keep the perfect temperature for each wine individually; you get a card with money that can be topped up, just heading to the machine and getting however wine you like. Modern and young environment just for a quick meal -sandwiches type.

It has a unique selection and a good atmosphere, coupled with a fast food style. Certainly worth having lunch here, in a good location.

Fastvinic places an emphasis on sustainability and fresh, local ingredients. As native Vancouverites we really appreciated that, and it was great to see the separate trash bins for compostable waste, and the menu arranged into veg/non-veg and so on. I hope the rest of Spain takes some cues from these guys! Food was decent but not spectacular. The Mesclun salad... More

Just a few quick steps from the busy street, you'll find this cute sandwich shop. Great selection of freshly-made sandwiches and Spanish wines by the glass. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch outside on the sidewalk. We also liked the restaurant's focus on green practices and sustainability. I recommend the catalan chicken sandwich.

Ready for a contemporary alternative to Tapas? If yes, this is the place to go... Enviromentally conscious, ecology aware and it tastes really good. And a need-to-experience place. We enjoyed it very much, and will surely recommend it. And; we will be back...!

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
