The food at this restaurant may look a bit plain but every element of it was delicious. The service was good too. They put our group of six in a separate side room so we didn't see the other customers that much but they seemed to be other family groups. Highly recommended.

Just eaten with my husband and son and from the outside doesn't seem much but just had a marvellous meal. Service good not over attentive of which I am not a fan and beautifully cooked food, really glad we took a chance and would go again if I was next in this city.

A relatively nice environment, service average and food taste rather poor. As for desert, crime brûlée was a disaster.... There is nothing that I would like to see again there...

Three of us ate at this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were very pleased with our choice. The restaurant´s atmosphere is pleasant, with a simple design and more than adequate space between tables. We ordered shrimp tortillas and potato bravas first, and for our main course 2 different paellas and the onglet steak with gnocchi. Everything was... More

Six of us ventured into this place , as mentioned in other reviews the tables are a bit crammed in the back seating room , but it was fine overall. The service was good and the food was good as well but the rice we ordered took a bit longer than was expected , so order early if you want... More

i come here one or twice in a month for lunch, and it never disappoint me. The staff is very nice, and the food is a mix of traditional catalan recipes cooked in a modern way. The price for lunch is 11,95 and is fantastic.

We found this small and cozy restaurant in a quiet street next to our hotel unexpectedly. Although the communication in english was not very fluent and we ordered more than we really wannned, the staff was very friendly and helpfull and we ended up happy with our choice. We had our first seafood paella in Barcelona here and we loved... More

We walked through Barcelona's Dioutacio's street and found this lovely, well-designed & pleasant restaurant. Clean, good service, excellent paella and wine. Really a great place for supper! It is not very big but the decor is beautiful and welcoming. Prices middle of the range but worth the visit. The owner is very hands-on and friendly. Make your way there for... More

Description
Mediterrani is located in Barcelona's famous Eixample district. True to its name, the menu offers homemade Mediterranean food. The restaurant is open all day, from morning until night, offering hearty breakfasts in the morning through to à la carte dinners in the evening with specialities such as 'patatas a la importancia' with clams or traditional oxtail stew. Opened in early 2001 and recently refurbished, the new Mediterrani is now more open-plan, spacious and welcoming inside, while the open kitchen provides an air of theatre that allows you to watch as your meal is prepared.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
