Tapeo was a stand out restaurant in Barcelona for me. The tapas they served were delicious and the price was not too bad. Amid a sea of touristy, boring tapas bars, Tapeo is head and shoulders above the rest. My girlfriend and I shared the croquettes, patatas bravas, the lamb, the pork ribs and the beef cheek. Superb meal.

We had an excellent Saturday lunch at Tapeo. All of the dishes were high quality and well executed. Service was friendly and mostly efficient, if a hair disjointed. We started with perfectly fried tempura asparagus with a tasty romesco, and eggplant with honey and lime, light, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, without a trace of bitterness. We... We chose to have lunch here on a Friday based on trip advisor reviews - thank you chaps. The service was excellent and the tapas were to die for. Slightly more special than standard tapas but not pretentious or over engineered. We had the foie gras burger, the stuffed squid, the eggs with foie gras and mushrooms and the Oxtail.... More

This is a great little place. All the small plates we had were served warm. A nice change. They were also all very good. Try the pork ribs and the aubergine, both excellent.

We went there as a big family and got a little room all for ourselves. The staff was really kind, even though they don't speak perfect English, communication was very easy. The tapas were beyond amazing and I will come back for sure. It is a little pricey and almost always fully booked, so make sure you get a reservation,... More

We reserved a table because of all the good comments on TripAdvisor. The quality and taste of the food was good but not more. Service friendly but also on standard not exceptionell level. We found it rather noisy and too busy for a relaxing evening.

We have had lovely tapas during our stay in Barcelona but the ones we had at Tapeo is definitely at top 2 if not THE best. A tiny little restaurant so don't go there for comfort but to try real Spanish tapas. Amazingly we managed to reserve a small table for four which turned out to be a good idea... More

It's cozy but delicious. We went three times while we were in Barcelona. Reservations recommended as I watched them turn people away. The vegetables and mackerel were highlights. There is also a traditional dish that looks like paella but is black and has sepia - can't remember the name but it was delicious.

Need to get an reservation or wait patiently. First start with a drink across the road at the historic El Xampanyet. Great and cozy bar serving tapas as well. Tapeo is not to be missed. Friends knew the staff and with reservation we had an amazing dinner of fresh and delectable courses covering vegetables, fish, shellfish, and meats. The twist... More

Visited Tapeo for solo dinner. Food was nice and well prepared but portion side is pretty large. Food is meant to be shared but half portions would be good idea to taste as much separate portions as possible. Place is pretty small - so it gets crowded easily.
